Journal ArticleDOI

The Genetic Contributions to Maturational Coupling in the Human Cerebrum: A Longitudinal Pediatric Twin Imaging Study.

TL;DR: Analysis of longitudinal anatomic MRI scans from 792 healthy twins and siblings found that genetic correlations for both lobar volumes and cortical thickness are dynamic, with relatively static effects on surface area.
Journal ArticleDOI

Joint tests of linkage and association for quantitative traits.

TL;DR: Various study designs and analytic techniques for testing the joint hypothesis that a genetic marker is both linked to and associated with a quantitative phenotype and the application of such methods to fine mapping are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

The relationship between age at first drug use and teenage drug use liability.

TL;DR: Analysis of Carey's (1992) simulated data set of substance abuse in a cohort of adolescent twins indicated that age at first drug use was a perfect index of drug use liability and model-fitting results indicated that only shared environmental factors accounted for twin similarity in the onset and timing ofdrug use.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genetic architecture of hippocampal subfields on standard resolution MRI: How the parts relate to the whole.

TL;DR: The current results suggest that it will be difficult for large‐scale genetic analyses to identify subfield‐specific genes that are distinct from both total hippocampal volume and other subfields using segmentations generated from standard resolution T1‐weighted images.
