Microwave‐Promoted Oxazole Synthesis: Cyclocondensation Cascade of Oximes and Acyl Chlorides.
TL;DR: The O,N-acylation-cyclodehydration cascade reaction of oximes and acid chlorides to give oxazoles has been studied in this paper, where microwave irradiation has been shown to promote the rapid O, N-acylations-cyclodesylation cascade reaction.

Redox regulation of Cdc25B by novel cell active quinolinediones
Marni Brisson,Theresa Nguyen,Peter Wipf,Beomjun Joo,Billy W. Day,John J. Skoko,Emanuel M. Schreiber,Pallavi Bansal,John S. Lazo +8 more
TL;DR: Five novel quinolinedione congeners of a previously reported Cdc25 inhibitor are synthesized and proposed that they regulate the phosphatase activity of CDC25 through selective and irreversible oxidation at the active site cysteine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thiolysis of Oxazolines: A New, Selective Method for the Direct Conversion of Peptide Oxazolines into Thiazolines.
TL;DR: In this paper, a direct oxazoline→thiazoline conversion can be realized by thiolysis of oxazolines with H2S in methanol/triethylamine, followed by cyclodehydration with Burgess reagent.
