TL;DR: A key role of the 11p15.5-p13 region in the regulation of baseline A-SAA levels is demonstrated and confirmative evidence of the importance of the 1p31 region for inflammatory processes and the close interplay between A- SAA, leptin, and other acute-phase proteins is provided.

TL;DR: Particle length concentration and active surface concentration showed strong positive associations with blood biomarkers reflecting inflammation, suggesting these air pollution metrics might reflect harmful aerosol properties better than particulate mass or number concentration.
