Existence and Completeness of Solutions to Extended Projected Dynamical Systems and Sector-Bounded Projection-Based Controllers
TL;DR: In this paper , the existence and completeness properties of closed-loop projection-based control systems are established for a class of discontinuous systems with partial projection operators and irregular constraint sets.
Journal ArticleDOI
Switched-Actuator Systems with Setup Times: Efficient Modeling, MPC, and Application to Hyperthermia Therapy
D.A. Deenen,E. Maljaars,L. Sebeke,B. de Jager,Edwin Heijman,Holger Grüll,Wpmh Maurice Heemels +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors provide an intuitive and systematic modeling procedure tailored to SACSSs, which is specifically designed to allow for user-friendly controller synthesis, and to yield efficient MI-MPCs.
Energy management for vehicle power nets : finding ultimate performance using dynamic programming

Proceedings ArticleDOI
On observability in networked control systems with packet losses
TL;DR: It is shown that the method introduced in [7] in the context of controllability of linear systems subject to packet losses extends to the question of observability, and the proof is valid also for non-invertible matrices, thereby improving upon the previous results.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Tracking control for piecewise linear systems using an error space approach: A case-study in sheet control
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the design of tracking controllers for piecewise linear systems, with application to sheet control in a printer paper path, based upon an error space approach derived from linear systems theory.
