Journal ArticleDOI

Welding and patterning in a flash

TL;DR: A flash welding technique that exploits the peculiar photothermal response of polyaniline nanofibres opens new avenues for processing and patterning polymer-based materials and devices.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Science and Art of Carving Metal Nanocrystals

TL;DR: In this Perspective, a brief overview on the evolution of oxidative etching as an alternative route to the facile synthesis of well-controlled metal nanocrystals is offered, as well as an outlook into the future directions of the field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoacoustic Microscopy in Tissue Engineering.

TL;DR: Previous work on applications of PAM in tissue engineering is reviewed and the future developments of this modality are discussed, both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Facile Synthesis of Gold Icosahedra in an Aqueous Solution by Reacting HAuCl4 with N‐Vinyl Pyrrolidone

TL;DR: A protocol that generates Au icosahedra in high yields by simply mixing aqueous solutions of HAuCl(4) and N-vinyl pyrrolidone is described, which may provide a simple, versatile, and environmentally benign route to noble-metal nanoparticles having various compositions and morphologies.
