TL;DR: Ibrahim et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the composition and important value index (IVI) of the woody stands of Tchillala, a 130-ha area selected for future North-African ostriches (Struthiocameluscamelus) prerelease in the Koutous region in Niger.
Abstract: This study aims to investigate the composition and Important Value Index (IVI) of the woody stands of Tchillala, a 130-ha area selected for future North-African ostriches (Struthiocameluscamelus) prerelease in the Koutous region in Niger. The forest inventory method was implemented in 42 plots of 50 m x 20 m (1000 m2) for tree-level observation, using stratified random sampling. For each woody specimen, the trunk diameter, total height and crown diameter have been recorded; Original Research Article Ibrahim et al.; JALSI, 23(2): 36-48, 2020; Article no.JALSI.55646 37 thespecimens with a trunk diameter smaller than 5 cm are considered as regenerations. A total of 17 woody species distributed across 10 families have been identified and most of them belongs either to the Mimosaceae (4 species) or the Tiliaceae (3 species). The plants density, domination and frequency were used to determine the IVI: Acacia tortilis and Balanitesaegyptiaca are the species with the highest IVI(118.43 and 88.28 respectively). The woody plants condition assessment has emphasized that trees have been facing natural (uprooting) and anthropogenic (cutting, pruning) threats. Consequently, the diameter class structures within the whole woody species community of Tchilala, as well as of the Acacia tortilis and Balanitesaegyptiaca, are mainly small size trees. The results of this study inform silvicultural management actions that would benefit to the North-African ostrich’establishment in Tchilala and the data collected are considered as possible indicators for long-term monitoring of habitat.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of ambient temperature and relative humidity on a monocrystalline solar module installed on the rooftop tilted with an angle of 15˚ facing south was investigated.
Abstract: This paper presents the effect of ambient temperature and relative humidity on a monocrystalline solar module installed on the rooftop tilted with an angle of 15˚ facing South. The output current, and voltage for the photovoltaic module were measured every thirty minutes and also the ambient temperature around the PV module. In addition to these field tests data, solar radiation data from a pyranometer installed in CNES for the same angle and the same environment was used to estimate the conversion efficiency of the module. Also, the relative humidity data obtained from NASA power agroclimatology website for the same period were used. Results show that there is a negative correlation between the ambient temperature and the conversion efficiency and between the relative humidity and the PV energy output. Indeed, the slope between the ambient temperature and the conversion efficiency is estimated to be-0.49%/˚C and the one between the relative humidity and the PV energy is -4.3Wh/m2.

TL;DR: In this article, a new approach was proposed to determine the optimal switching angles by Selective Harmonic Elimination of a cascade multilevel inverters based on mean voltage values.
Abstract: In this paper, we present a new approach Pulse Width Modulation, (PWM, for short), to determine the optimal switching angles by Selective Harmonic Elimination of a cascade multilevel inverters. Based on mean voltage values, we address a formula that relates inverters switching angles with voltages in three phase multilevel inverters. After, using inverse generalized technique, we determine such angles expression depending on mean voltages values. In view to eliminate harmonics, we consider these calculated switching angles in the resulting system of nonlinear equations obtained from Fourier series decomposition of the output of three phase and single phase voltage. Therefore, with respect to different values of the modulation rate r, applying Newton algorithm to solve the optimization problem, we obtain for five level inverters, optimal switching angles that eliminate harmonics of rank 3 and 5 for single phase and three phase, respectively.

TL;DR: L’eclampsie est the premiere cause of deces maternels dans le service, characterized by convulsives tonico-cloniques and seizures and the aim of this study was to cover the period of pregnancy and period of consciousness.
Abstract: RESUME Introduction. Conclusion. ABSTRACT Introduction. Eclampsia, a major complication of pre-eclampsia, is characterized by the manifestation of tonic-clonic seizures and / or disturbance of consciousness. Eclampsia is a real public health problem in our countries with high morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to study eclampsia in the gynecology and obstetrics department of the Fousseyni Daou hospital in Kayes. Methods. This was a descriptive, analytical, cross-sectional, prospective study over a 12 month period from january 1, 2018 to decembre 31, 2018, covering all women in the pregnancy-puerperal period admitted to the service gynecology and obstetrics of the Fousseyni Daou hospital in kayes for eclampsia. The data were collected from obstetric files and the recording of the file in the questionnaire. Anonymity and confidentiality were respected. The data were entered on Microsoft word software, analyzed on epi-info.7 and the graphics analyzed on excel. Student’s chi2 statistical test were used to compare the results, a value of p < 0,05 was considered significant. Results. we recorded 1769 admissions including 126 cases of eclampsia, a frequency of 7,1%. The age group < years represented 48%. Housewives represented 92,1%. Primigests were the majority with 73%. Forty-seven (47)% of eclampsia attacks occurred on a per-partum basis. Twenty-seven (27)% of the patients had not performed any prenatal consultation and 55,6% had only one prenatal follow-up. The patients gave birth vaginally with spontaneous labor at 52,3% and after induction of labor at 2% ; cesarean section was performed in 48% of ours ample of patients. All of our patients have benefited from magnesium sulfate. Eleven out of a hundred and twenty-six (11/126) of the patients died or 8,7%. Stillbirths represented 18,3% of our series. The cardiologie department was the most involved in the treatmentcharge with 3% of the requests. Conclusion. Eclampsia is the leading cause of maternal death in our department. The main favoring factors are primigestity, young age of the patients and absence or poor quality prenatal care. The management of this condition is multidisciplinairy. Quality prenatal follow-up and improvement of women’s living conditions can reduce the high rate of eclampsia and improve its prognosis in our country.
