01 Feb 2020TL;DR: There will be no smart city or smart village without smart citizens and the quadruple helix innovation model is important for knowledge co-creation and to harness the potential of massive amounts of new data that are created every day.
Abstract: This paper aims at highlighting some emerging issues and related data gaps in Niger; where public policies as well as research projects related to smart cities and smart villages are currently being experimented. We have found that there will be no smart city or smart village without smart citizens and the quadruple helix (Government, Industry, Academic, Citizens) innovation model is important for knowledge co-creation and to harness the potential of massive amounts of new data that are created every day. This data revolution combined to intelligent data mining approaches will certainly contribute to the definition, implementation and monitoring of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals in Niger.

TL;DR: In this paper, an approach which allows taking into account the effect of extreme values in the modeling of financial asset returns and in the valorisation of associated options is presented, where the marginal distribution of asset returns is modelled by a mixture of two Gaussian distributions.
Abstract: In this article, we present an approach which allows taking into account the effect of extreme values in the modeling of financial asset returns and in the valorisation of associated options. Specifically, the marginal distribution of asset returns is modelled by a mixture of two Gaussian distributions. Moreover, we model the joint dependence structure of the returns using a copula function, the extremal one, which is suitable for our financial data, particularly the extreme values copulas. Applications are made on the Atos and Dassault Systems actions of the CAC40 index. Monte Carlo method is used to compute the values of some equity options such as the call on maximum, the call on minimum, the digital option, and the spreads option with the basket (Atos, Dassault systems) as underlying.

TL;DR: In this article, D'Acunto et K. Kurdyka et al. montrons que le diametre geodesique des composante connexes de S ∩ B (r) is a polynome de degred.
Abstract: Resume Soit S un ouvert semi-algebrique defini par S = ⋃ j = 1 t { f j , 1 > 0 , f j , 2 > 0 , … , f j , s j > 0 } ou f j , i : R n → R ( j = 1 , … , t , i = 1 , … , s j ) , sont des polynomes de degres d j , i ⩾ 2 . Soit B ( r ) une boule de rayon r dans R n . Posons s = max 1 ⩽ j ⩽ t s j et d = max { d j , i , j = 1 , … , t , i = 1 , … , s j } .

TL;DR: Rubeoparvulum massiliense strain mt6T was isolated from the gut microbiota of a severely malnourished boy from Senegal and consisted of facultative anaerobic, spore-forming, nonmotile and Gram-negative rods.
Abstract: Rubeoparvulum massiliense strain mt6T was isolated from the gut microbiota of a severely malnourished boy from Senegal and consisted of facultative anaerobic, spore-forming, nonmotile and Gram-negative rods. R. massiliense showed a 92% similarity with the 16S rRNA of Bacillus mannanilyticus. The genome of strain mt6T is 2 843 796 bp long with a 43.75% G+C content. It contains 2735 protein-coding genes and 76 RNA genes, among which are nine rRNA genes.
