TL;DR: A novel algorithm for the construction of radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) classifier based on subspace learning that is able to obtain RBFNN models with both better classification accuracy and simpler network structure when compared with other learning algorithms.
Abstract: Many real-world classification problems are characterized by samples of a complex distribution in the input space. The classification accuracy is determined by intrinsic properties of all samples in subspaces of features. This paper proposes a novel algorithm for the construction of radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) classifier based on subspace learning. In this paper, feature subspaces are obtained for every hidden node of the RBFNN during the learning process. The connection weights between the input layer and the hidden layer are adjusted to produce various subspaces with dominative features for different hidden nodes. The network structure and dominative features are encoded in two subpopulations that are cooperatively coevolved using the coevolutionary algorithm to achieve a better global optimality for the estimated RBFNN. Experimental results illustrate that the proposed algorithm is able to obtain RBFNN models with both better classification accuracy and simpler network structure when compared with other learning algorithms. Thus, the proposed model provides a more flexible and efficient approach to complex classification tasks by employing the local characteristics of samples in subspaces.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a better understanding of the mechanisms by which corporate environmental ethics influences performance through the adoption of substantive actions and found that firms with higher environmental ethics are more likely to implement green marketing programs, consisting of the green production, pricing, distribution, and promotion programs and then improve firm performance.
Abstract: In this study, we develop a better understanding of the mechanisms by which corporate environmental ethics influences performance through the adoption of substantive actions. The empirical results of a moderated mediating analysis show that firms with higher environmental ethics are more likely to implement green marketing programs, consisting of the green production, pricing, distribution, and promotion programs and then improve firm performance. It is also observed that closure mechanism negatively moderates the mediation effect of green marketing programs because it leads to low trust and unwillingness to internal cooperation. These findings indicate that the value of corporate environmental ethics could not be determined in a vacuum, both strategy and people do matter when pursuing environmentally driven performance.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the consistent China MRIO tables for 2012, 2015, and 2017 for 31 provinces of mainland China in 42 economic sectors to reveal the evolution of regional supply chains in China's recent economic transition.
Abstract: Global production fragmentation generates indirect socioeconomic and environmental impacts throughout its expanded supply chains. The multi-regional input-output model (MRIO) is a tool commonly used to trace the supply chain and understand spillover effects across regions, but often cannot be applied due to data unavailability, especially at the sub-national level. Here, we present MRIO tables for 2012, 2015, and 2017 for 31 provinces of mainland China in 42 economic sectors. We employ hybrid methods to construct the MRIO tables according to the available data for each year. The dataset is the consistent China MRIO table collection to reveal the evolution of regional supply chains in China's recent economic transition. The dataset illustrates the consistent evolution of China's regional supply chain and its economic structure before the 2018 US-Sino trade war. The dataset can be further applied as a benchmark in a wide range of in-depth studies of production and consumption structures across industries and regions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the key contractor characteristic factors that affect project success under different PDSs by collecting data on these delivery systems from previously completed projects that adopt and track the characteristics of contractors involved in these projects.
Abstract: The reasonable choice of a proper project delivery system (PDS) is one of the key links to project success. Research in this area has focused on decision making in PDSs. However, project success depends not only on the science of choosing a PDS but also, to a large extent, on the degree of contractor adaptation to the chosen delivery system or the degree to which the contractor characteristics match the PDS. Therefore, this study attempts to explore the key contractor characteristic factors that affect project success under different PDSs by collecting data on these delivery systems from previously completed projects that adopt and track the characteristics of contractors involved in these projects. A total of 12 contractor characteristic factors that affect project success under different PDSs were obtained via a literature review. Next, according to 73 research samples from successful projects in China that adopted different PDSs selected from questionnaires, the key contractor characteristics f...
