TL;DR: The results indicate that the vacuole also plays a role in homeostasis of the intracellular pH, and the decrease in cytosolic pH caused by external acidification was much more important when the permeant acetic acid was used instead of HCl as the acidulant.

TL;DR: In this paper, a stochastic model was applied to devise an optimal algorithm for the rotational speed control of an oscillating-water-column (OWC) wave power plant equipped with a Wells turbine and to evaluate the average power output of the plant.

TL;DR: The aims of the benchmark are to assess the dispersion of results on the same simulation study cases, to demonstrate the accuracy of numerical methodologies and simulation models and to identify the best suited modelling approaches to study pantograph–catenary interaction.
Abstract: This paper describes the results of a voluntary benchmark initiative concerning the simulation of pantograph-catenary interaction, which was proposed and coordinated by Politecnico di Milano and pa ...

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors considered a class of theories where matter superfields transform in representations of the finite modular group Γ5 ≃ A5 and explicitly constructed a basis for the 11 modular forms of weight 2 and level 5.
Abstract: In the framework of the modular symmetry approach to lepton flavour, we consider a class of theories where matter superfields transform in representations of the finite modular group Γ5 ≃ A5. We explicitly construct a basis for the 11 modular forms of weight 2 and level 5. We show how these forms arrange themselves into two triplets and a quintet of A5. We also present multiplets of modular forms of higher weight. Finally, we provide an example of application of our results, constructing two models of neutrino masses and mixing based on the supersymmetric Weinberg operator.
