TL;DR: This work defines three other principles namely: adhesion principle, reformulation principle, memorization principle, and presents the possible applications of the new model: MIRABEL, which can help in the description of information retrieval problem from.
Abstract: If simplified, every information retrieval problem can be solved when the information need implied by its expression has been identified. We are interested in the criteria used in realising a good information retrieval problem expression. We have listed these criteria through some principles and maxims which first characterized the communication between two persons are applied. We choose to use the gricean maxims because they are the most favoured for this type of situation. Secondly, we have tried to identify some others principles that can be used to realise a good information retrieval problem expression. The principles by Grice can not resolve all forms of error associated with this particular form of communication. In our work, we defined three other principles namely: adhesion principle, reformulation principle, memorization principle. We give some examples of situations where the principles we have formulated are not applicable and the consequences. We present the possible applications of our new model: MIRABEL, which can help in the description of information retrieval problem from. It also compels its user to use essential good expression principle implicitly.

TL;DR: The concept of relevance is studied so far is summarized and the concept of economic intelligence is presented to better understand the complexity of the concepts of relevance in this context.
Abstract: The search for information still depends on the knowledge available on the information sought and their uses. Founded on the principle of search content, the knowledge available on the information sought will result in the specification of information needs, often in the form of research equation. This principle applies regardless of the search agent (a human being or a search engine) and whatever the source of information (formal source - Internet, databases, etc.. informal source - humans networks, for example). The principle does not directly specify end-uses of the information sought because these uses are not included in the description of documents. And yet it is the knowledge on the final use of the information that indicates the degree of relevance. We will summarize how the concept of relevance is studied so far and present the concept of economic intelligence to better understand the complexity of the concept of relevance in this context. As we believe that the problems related to the adequacy of information can not be limited to research equations, we will present approaches from ongoing research on the relevance of information in economic intelligence. These approaches are both new approaches for document representation as well as new functionalities for the information retrieavl systems.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a meta-base for the representation of connaissances in the meta base of a metas connaisseur. André et al. propose a plateforme for the retrieval of a maximum number of liens between the objects and the acteurs.

TL;DR: In this paper, a functional architecture for the development of a collaborative information retrieval (CIR) prototype called MECOCIR is described and features of the prototype are presented as well as how they facilitate collaborative knowledge exploitation.
Abstract: The final goal of Information Retrieval (IR) is knowledge production. However, it has been argued that knowledge production is not an individual effort but a collaborative effort. Collaboration in information retrieval is geared towards knowledge sharing and creation of new knowledge by users. This paper discusses Collaborative Information Retrieval (CIR) and how it culminates to knowledge creation. It explains how created knowledge is organized and structured. It describes a functional architecture for the development of a CIR prototype called MECOCIR. Some of the features of the prototype are presented as well as how they facilitate collaborative knowledge exploitation. Knowledge creation is explained through the knowledge conversion/transformation processes proposed by Nonaka and CIR activities that facilitate these processes are high-lighted and discussed
