Development of Aqueous Electrolytes and Corrosion Inhibitors in Aluminium-Air Battery

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed the development of the aqueous electrolytes selection based on their pH ranges which are acidic, neutral salt and alkaline solution and proposed that the best material selection for outstanding Al-air battery performance is by using alkaline solutions as the electrolyte, Al alloy as the anode and the addition of corrosion inhibitor to control the electrode corrosion problem.
