Effect of adding different contents of mercury to magnesium on discharge and corrosion performances of magnesium anode sheet

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of magnesium alloy anode sheets with Hg content between 1.65 and 2.16 wt % was investigated and the results showed that adding an appropriate amount of Hg could inhibit the microgalvanic corrosion and prevent the formation of thick corrosion product film on the matrix surfaces, and the second phase of Mg3Hg could activate magnesium matrix, improve peak voltage and effective discharge time.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of pass deformation in rolling processes on the microstructure, corrosion resistance and electrochemical activity of Al-Mg-Bi-Sn-Ga-In alloy anodes operated in an alkaline solution (85 °C, 5 mol·L−1 NaOH with addition of NaSnO3) with current density of 800 mA·cm−2 was investigated.
