One-Pot Synthesis of Spirocyclic or Fused Pyrazoles from Cyclic Ketones: Calcium Carbide as the Carbon Source in Ring Expansion.
TL;DR: N-Tosylhydrazones generated in situ from cyclic ketones smoothly underwent a [3 + 2] cycloaddition to afford saturated spirocyclic pyrazoles and further transformed to the fused analogues via a ring expansion in certain cases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Functionalized Pyrazoles via 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition of α-Diazo-β-ketophosphonates, Sufones and Esters with Electron-Deficient Alkenes.
TL;DR: This account describes the novel synthetic methods developed in the laboratory, in the perspective of closely related work by others, for the synthesis of phosphonyl/sulfonylpyrazoles, pyrazole esters and the total synthesis of Withasomnine, a natural product, by using 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition as the key step.
Journal ArticleDOI
Copper-mediated tandem ring-opening/cyclization reactions of cyclopropanols with aryldiazonium salts: synthesis of N-arylpyrazoles
TL;DR: A general method for the synthesis of structurally diverse N-arylpyrazoles from readily available cyclopropanols and aryldiazonium salts is disclosed and the reaction was conducted at room temperature within minutes with a broad substrate scope and excellent regioselectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient multicomponent strategy to pentacyclic pyrazole-fused naphtho[1,8-fg]isoquinolines through cleavage of two carbon-carbon bonds.
TL;DR: A series of new and polyfunctionalized pentacyclic pyrazole-fused naphtho[1,8-fg]isoquinolines were regioselectively synthesized and the insertion of active methylene of diaroylmethane into the sp(2)-sp(2) C-C bond of the cyclohexa-2,5-dienone ring was readily achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Iron-catalyzed aerobic oxidative aromatization of 1,3,5-trisubstituted pyrazolines
TL;DR: In this article, a simple and high yielding method for the synthesis of tri-substituted pyrazoles via iron(III) catalyzed aerobic oxidative aromatization of pyrazolines has been reported.
