Personalized driving behavior monitoring and analysis for emerging hybrid vehicles

TL;DR: A personalized driving behavior monitoring and analysis system for emerging hybrid vehicles that captures precise driver---vehicle information through de-noise, calibration, synchronization, and disorientation compensation and provides quantitative driver-specific (P)HEV analysis through operation mode classification, energy use and fuel use modeling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Power-on shifting in dual input clutchless power-shifting transmission for electric vehicles

TL;DR: The detailed transient dynamic results in terms of final shaft torque, acceleration and vehicle jerk demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed powertrain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Should BEVs be subsidized or taxed? A European perspective based on the economic value of CO2 emissions

TL;DR: In this article, a simulation model is developed, based on the most recent and reliable data available, to assess whether BEVs' subsidies are justified and by what amount with reference to the carbon component, distinguishing by car segments and countries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energy control strategies for the Fuel Cell Hybrid Power Source under unknown load profile

TL;DR: In this paper, four new energy control strategies are proposed for the fuel cell hybrid power source (FCHPS) used in stationary and mobile FC application (such as the FC backup source for a smart house and FC vehicle, respectively) based on the Load Following (LF) control and Maximum Efficiency Point Tracking (MEPT) control of the fueling rates.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Novel Model Validation and Estimation Approach for Hybrid Serial Electric Vehicles

TL;DR: Sliding-mode-control-based robust controllers are designed to emulate the engine, motor, and generator control signals to achieve minimum deviation between the variables that are calculated through the simulation model and measured from the actual system, in spite of the nonlinearities and uncertainties that are not considered in the developed model.
