TLDR
In this article, 15 chondrites, including eight carbonaceous chondites, were analyzed for rare earth element abundances by isotope dilution, and the persistence of anomalies in chondritic materials relatively removed from direct condensational processes implies that anomalous components were introduced at a late stage of chondrite formation.

Rare earth elements in chondritic phosphates-implications for 244 Pu chronology

TL;DR: The use of rare-earth elements (REE) in the role of Pu analogue has been suggested by as discussed by the authors, on the grounds of presumed similarity in the geochemical behaviour of Pu and REE.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preconcentration and determination of rare-earth elements in iron-rich water samples by extraction chromatography and plasma source mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)

TL;DR: The proposed method has been applied to granitic waters running through fracture fillings coated by iron and manganese oxy-hydroxides in the area of the Ratones (Cáceres, Spain) old uranium mine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Late Paleozoic–Early Mesozoic Granite Magmatism on the Arctic Margin of the Siberian Craton during the Kara-Siberia Oblique Collision and Plume Events

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented new structural, petrographic, geochemical and geochronological data for the late Paleozoic-early Mesozoic granites and associated igneous rocks of the Taimyr Peninsula.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geology and tectonics of the Boa Vista Basin (Paraíba, northeastern Brazil) and geochemistry of associated Cenozoic tholeiitic magmatism

TL;DR: The Boa Vista Basin (BVB) as discussed by the authors is composed of a lower volcanic unit of altered basalts and basaltic andesites overlying Precambrian basement rocks, and an intermediate unit of bentonitic shales that pass upward to medium-to coarse-grained sandstones and conglomerates and downward to sandstone and siltstones, grading to pillowed or autobrecciated basalts.

Synthesis of the Elements in Stars

TL;DR: In this article, a count of the stable and radioactive elements and isotopes is given, and Table I,1 shows that only promethium has not been found in nature, whereas 99 elements are found terrestrially and technetium is found in stars.

Determination of REE, Ba, Fe, Mg, Na and K in carbonaceous and ordinary chondrites

TL;DR: In this paper, the exact determination of REE and Ba abundances in three carbonaceous (Orgueil Cl, Murchison C2 and Allende C3) and seven olivine-bronzite chondrites were carried out by mass spectrometric isotope dilution technique.
Journal ArticleDOI

A chemical-petrologic classification for the chondritic meteorites.

TL;DR: In this article, a two-dimensional classification grid based on chemical and petrologic subdivisions of chondritic meteorites is proposed, which extends the current chemical subdivisions to account for varying petrolic (implied metamorphic) properties within the primary chemical groups.
