TLDR
In this article, 15 chondrites, including eight carbonaceous chondites, were analyzed for rare earth element abundances by isotope dilution, and the persistence of anomalies in chondritic materials relatively removed from direct condensational processes implies that anomalous components were introduced at a late stage of chondrite formation.

Chemical differentiation of the Earth: the relationship between mantle, continental crust, and oceanic crust

TL;DR: In this paper, the average chemical compositions of the continental crust and the oceanic crust (represented by MORB), normalized to primitive mantle values and plotted as functions of the apparent bulk partition coefficient of each element, form surprisingly simple, complementary concentration patterns.

Sm-Nd isotopic evolution of chondrites

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that none of the analyzed meteorite samples deviated more than 0.5 e-units from a 4.6-AE reference isochron and defined an initial 4.5-AE value for CHUR using the Juvinas data of Lugmair.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solar-system abundances of the elements

TL;DR: In this paper, the Ogueil Cl meteorite and all previous Cl chondrite analyses were employed to develop a new solar system abundance table, including the standard deviation and number of analyses for each element.

Rare-earth elements in matrix, inclusions, and chondrules of the Allende meteorite

TL;DR: In this paper, rare earth elements in a whole-rock sample and in major components of the Allende meteorite were investigated; for a few samples, abundances of Ba, Sr, Ca, and Al were also determined.

Genesis of the Calcium-Rich Achondrites in Light of Rare-Earth and Barium Concentrations

TL;DR: In this article, rare earth and barium concentrations have been determined by mass-spectrometric isotope-dilution for a chondrite composite, nine calcium-rich achondrites, two plagioclase separates, and two pyroxene separates.

The isotopic and elemental abundance of ytterbium in meteorites and terrestrial samples

TL;DR: The isotopic composition of ytterbium in meteoritic and terrestrial materials was measured using a solid source mass spectrometer as discussed by the authors, and the relative isotope abundances for reagent Yb were calculated within experimental errors.

Minor and trace elements in some meteoritic minerals

TL;DR: In this paper, the mineral phases including olivine, orthopyroxene, clinipyroxenes, troilite, nickel-iron, plagioclase, chromite, and the phosphates were separated from several meteorites.
