Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19): The epidemic and the challenges.

TLDR
Among patients with pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2 (novel coronavirus pneumonia or Wuhan pneumonia), fever was the most common symptom, followed by cough, and bilateral lung involvement with ground-glass opacity was themost common finding from computed tomography images of the chest.

Impact of early detection and vaccination strategy in COVID-19 eradication program in Jakarta, Indonesia.

TL;DR: A new mathematical model is proposed that can be used by Jakarta’s government to relax social distancing policy by relying on future COVID-19 vaccine potential and also eradicate CO VID-19 from the population with a higher vaccination rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

An oppositional-Cauchy based GSK evolutionary algorithm with a novel deep ensemble reinforcement learning strategy for COVID-19 diagnosis

TL;DR: In this article, a novel artificial intelligent-based automated X-ray image analysis framework based on an ensemble of deep optimized convolutional neural networks (CNNs) was designed to distinguish coronavirus patients from non-patients.

Constituents of buriti oil ( Mauritia flexuosa L.) like inhibitors of the SARS-Coronavirus main peptidase: an investigation by docking and molecular dynamics.

TL;DR: The anti-Covid-19 biological activity of some constituents of Buriti oil was investigated using in silico methods of Molecular Docking and Molecular Dynamics Simulations and theoretical results encourage and enable a direction for experimental studies in vitro and in vivo, essential in the development of new drugs with enzymatic inhibitory action for Covid- 19.

Status and influential factors of anxiety depression and insomnia symptoms in the work resumption period of COVID-19 epidemic: A multicenter cross-sectional study.

TL;DR: The incidence of psychological distress increased during the outbreak of COVID-19 in the work resumption period than the normal period and current psychological interventions were insufficient; target psychological interventions should be conducted in time.

A Novel Coronavirus from Patients with Pneumonia in China, 2019.

TL;DR: Human airway epithelial cells were used to isolate a novel coronavirus, named 2019-nCoV, which formed a clade within the subgenus sarbecovirus, Orthocoronavirinae subfamily, which is the seventh member of the family of coronaviruses that infect humans.
Journal ArticleDOI

A pneumonia outbreak associated with a new coronavirus of probable bat origin

TL;DR: Identification and characterization of a new coronavirus (2019-nCoV), which caused an epidemic of acute respiratory syndrome in humans in Wuhan, China, and it is shown that this virus belongs to the species of SARSr-CoV, indicates that the virus is related to a bat coronav virus.

Clinical Characteristics of 138 Hospitalized Patients With 2019 Novel Coronavirus-Infected Pneumonia in Wuhan, China.

TL;DR: The epidemiological and clinical characteristics of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)-infected pneumonia in Wuhan, China, and hospital-associated transmission as the presumed mechanism of infection for affected health professionals and hospitalized patients are described.

Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of 99 cases of 2019 novel coronavirus pneumonia in Wuhan, China: a descriptive study

TL;DR: Characteristics of patients who died were in line with the MuLBSTA score, an early warning model for predicting mortality in viral pneumonia, and further investigation is needed to explore the applicability of the Mu LBSTA scores in predicting the risk of mortality in 2019-nCoV infection.
