TLDR
Theoretical and experimental work concerned with dynamic fluctuations has developed into a very active and fascinating subfield of mesoscopic physics as discussed by the authors, which can be used to obtain information on a system which is not available through conductance measurements.

GaAs/AlAs resonant-tunneling diode for subharmonic mixers

TL;DR: In this article, a GaAs/AlAs resonant-tunneling diode is designed for use as part of a subharmonic mixer, and its prototypes are fabricated and characterized.

Full counting statistics of Andreev scattering in an asymmetric chaotic cavity

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the charge transport statistics in coherent two-terminal double junctions within the framework of the circuit theory of mesoscopic transport and obtained the general solution of circuit-theory matrix equations for the Green's function of a chaotic cavity between arbitrary contacts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Frequency mapping in dynamic light emission with wavelet transform

TL;DR: A new methodology to draw frequency mapping of dynamic light emission acquisition is reported, fully automated and based on wavelet transform and autocorrelation function that can help to localize abnormal emission activity and give some perspectives on automatic databases comparison.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spin-dependent shot noise in diluted-magnetic-semiconductor/ semiconductor heterostructures

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the shot noise properties in the diluted-magnetic-semiconductor and semiconductor heterostructures, where the sp-d exchange interaction gives rise to a giant spin splitting when an external magnetic field is applied along the growth direction of the heterostructure.

Transition from metallic to tunneling regimes in superconducting microconstrictions: Excess current, charge imbalance, and supercurrent conversion

TL;DR: In this paper, the Bogoliubov equations were used to model the transmission and reflection of particles at the tunnel junction of normal-superconducting micro-constriction contacts, and a simple theory for the $I\ensuremath{-}V$ curves of normal superconducting contacts was proposed to describe the crossover from metallic to tunnel junction behavior.
