TLDR
Theoretical and experimental work concerned with dynamic fluctuations has developed into a very active and fascinating subfield of mesoscopic physics as discussed by the authors, which can be used to obtain information on a system which is not available through conductance measurements.

Mixed, charge and heat noises in thermoelectric nanosystems.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the thermoelectric efficiency can be expressed as a ratio of noises in the non-linear Schottky regime, and the cross-ratio changes sign and diverges, which evidences a change of sign in the heat cross-noise.

At which magnetic field, exactly, does the Kondo resonance begin to split? A Fermi liquid description of the low-energy properties of the Anderson model

TL;DR: Mora et al. as discussed by the authors extended Fermi liquid theory for the asymmetric single-impurity Anderson model to the case of an arbitrary local magnetic field, and obtained exact results for the curvature of the spectral function, c(A), describing its leading similar to epsilon(2) term, and the transport coefficients c(V) and c(T), describing the leading similar with V-2 and similar to T-2 terms in the nonlinear differential conductance.

Introduction to Graphene-Based Nanomaterials: Introduction to carbon-based nanostructures

TL;DR: A brief overview of carbon structures and hybridizations can be found in this paper, where the ground state (lowest energy) electronic configuration of carbon is analyzed and four valence electrons (2 s and 2 p ) are found to participate in bond formation.

Pseudorandom binary injection of levitons for electron quantum optics

D. C. Glattli, +1 more
- 08 Mar 2018 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a spread-spectrum approach where electron flying qubits are injected in a non-periodic manner following a pseudo-random binary bit pattern was proposed, which allows to disentangle the physics of manipulated excitations from that of the injection protocol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Partition-free theory of time-dependent current correlations in nanojunctions in response to an arbitrary time-dependent bias

TL;DR: In this article, a two-time current correlation function is derived for the case of transport through a nano-junction in response to an arbitrary time-dependent bias, where the one-particle Hamiltonian and the wide-band limit approximation are assumed, enabling us to extract all necessary Green's functions and self-energies for the system, extending the analytic work presented previously.

Transition from metallic to tunneling regimes in superconducting microconstrictions: Excess current, charge imbalance, and supercurrent conversion

TL;DR: In this paper, the Bogoliubov equations were used to model the transmission and reflection of particles at the tunnel junction of normal-superconducting micro-constriction contacts, and a simple theory for the $I\ensuremath{-}V$ curves of normal superconducting contacts was proposed to describe the crossover from metallic to tunnel junction behavior.
