Wet erosive wear of alumina and its composites with SiC nano-particles
TL;DR: In this paper, a study of the room temperature controlled wet erosive wear of monolithic alumina and its composites with nano-sized particles of SiC is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of erosive wear resistance of TiN coatings by a slurry jet impact test
TL;DR: In this article, a slurry jet was used to evaluate wear properties of thin, single layered or multilayered coatings, and a ranking of wear resistance and correlations to the coating surface hardness measured by nano-indentation tests was given and discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tribological behaviour of drawn polypropylene
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of drawing ratio on the friction and wear characteristics of drawn polypropylene (PP) has been assessed and analyzed for various normal loads and sliding velocities, and the wear loss values dramatically increase with an increase in normal load, draw ratio, and sliding velocity when the PP pin slides normal to the drawing direction.

A comparison of the gas-blast and centrifugal-accelerator erosion testers: The influence of particle dynamics
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of particle characteristics (size, shape and concentration) on particle dynamics in each of these testers was analyzed and it was concluded that the centrifugal-accelerator tester gave closer control of the important erosion test parameters and therefore more consistent erosion test measurements.

Abrasive Wear Behaviour of Surface Modified Jute Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites
TL;DR: In this paper, the specific wear rate of jute fiber reinforced epoxy composites with different weight percentage of fiber loading (10, 20, 30, 40 wt. %) and different chemical treatments (Alkaline and Benzoyl chloride treatment).
