TL;DR: In this paper, the North Greenland Eemian Ice Drilling (NEEM) ice core was extracted from folded Greenland ice using globally homogeneous parameters known from dated Greenland and Antarctic ice-core records.

TL;DR: The new North Greenland Eemian Ice Drilling (‘NEEM’) ice core is presented and shows only a modest ice-sheet response to the strong warming in the early Eemians, which was probably driven by the decreasing summer insolation.
Journal ArticleDOI
A review on speciation of iodine-129 in the environmental and biological samples
TL;DR: An overview of applications of (129)I speciation in various scientific disciplines such as radiation protection, waste depository, and environmental sciences is given and measurement techniques for the determination of ( 129)I are presented and compared.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pleistocene collapse of the west antarctic ice sheet
TL;DR: The occurrence of young diatoms and high concentrations of beryllium-10 beneath grounded ice indicates that the Ross Embayment was an open marine environment after a late Pleistocene collapse of the marine ice sheet.
Journal ArticleDOI
Regional atmospheric circulation shifts induced by a grand solar minimum
Celia Martín-Puertas,Katja Matthes,Achim Brauer,Raimund Muscheler,Felicitas Hansen,Christof Petrick,Ala Aldahan,Ala Aldahan,G Possnert,Bas van Geel +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed annually laminated sediments of Lake Meerfelder Maar, Germany, to derive variations in wind strength and the rate of 10Be accumulation, a proxy for solar activity, from 3,300 to 2,000 years before present.
