Two Sulfur-Containing Isoquinoline Alkaloids From the Bryozoan Biflustra perfragilis

TL;DR: The bryozoan Biflustra perfragilis collected in Bass Strait has yielded two sulfur-containing isoquinoline alkaloids: 2-methyl-6,7-di(methylthio)isoquinoline-3,5,8 (2H)-trione (1a) and 2.5,7,8(2H)trione as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

The tin(IV) coordination environment in di-n-butyltin di-p-bromobenzoate, a monomeric diorganotin ester

TL;DR: Di-n-butyltin di-p -bromobenzoate is an air-stable compound which crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C 2/c with a 21.5° rotation axis passing through the tin atom.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and crystal structure of 'Thorium hydroxy picrate Hexadecahydrate' ('Basic thorium picrate')

TL;DR: The thorium carbonate is triclinic, Pī, a 14.20H2O compound, crystallized from the solution produced by dissolution of thorium in hot, aqueous picric acid (Hpic, 2,4,6-trinitrophenol) as pale yellow needles, has been the subject of a room-temperature single-crystal X-ray study and found to be [( pic )(H 2O)6Th(μ-OH)2Th(OH2)6( pic )]( pic )4
Journal ArticleDOI

Carbon Chain Formation on Metallic Arrays. X-ray Structural Determinations of [Ru4(μ4-(CCC(CO2Me)C(CO2Me))(η-C5H4R)2(μ-CO)(CO)8], [{Ru(CO)2(η-C5H5)}2{μ-CCC(CO2Me)C(CO2Me)C(O)}], and [{Ru(CO)2(η-C5H5)2{μ-CC(CN)2CC(CN)2}] (R = H, Me)

TL;DR: The open planar Ru 4 C 2 compounds [Ru 4 (μ 4 -CC)(η-C 5 H 4 R) 2 (μ-CO) 2(CO) 8 ] (R = H, Me) react with the activated electron-deficient alkyne dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate, (CO 2 Me) 2 C 2 (DMAD), to afford a number of products.
