Journal ArticleDOI
Silver Coordination Chemistry of a New Versatile “Janus”-type N2,O2-Bichelating Donor, Formation of an Unprecedented Supramolecular Network of Binuclear Silver Building Blocks Containing a Five-Coordinate β-Diketonate, and Isolation of Unexpected Silver−Tin−Silver Heterotrimetallic Complexes from Silver Metathesis Reactions
Augusto Cingolani,Effendy,Fabio Marchetti,Claudio Pettinari,Riccardo Pettinari,Brian W. Skelton,Allan H. White +6 more
TL;DR: The formation of two new species, a mononuclear neutral compound and a dinuclear ionic one are reported, with the formation of a polynuclear structure in the solid state which is seemingly disrupted in solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation, Structures, and Magnetic and EPR Spectroscopic Properties of Dicobalt(III)‐Dicopper(II) Complexes Featuring Heterotetranuclear Cations of a Puckered Cyclic Structure with Diethanolamine and Diethanolamine(2−) as Bridging Ligands
Valeriya G. Makhankova,Olga Yu. Vassilyeva,Volodymyr N. Kokozay,Jan Reedijk,Gerard A. van Albada,Julia Jezierska,Brian W. Skelton +6 more
TL;DR: The centrosymmetric cation [CuII2Co2CoIII2(H2dea)2(dea)-4]2+ was synthesized by the reaction of zero-valent copper with cobalt(II) salts in nonaqueous (CH3OH, DMF, DMSO) solutions of diethanolamine (H2DEa) in air as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lewis-Base Adducts of Group 11 Metal(I) Compounds. XL : Conformational systematics of [(N-base)1(CuX)1]∞ orthogonal 'stair' polymers (N-base = 'one-dimensional' aceto-, benzo-nitrile ligand)
TL;DR: The structural properties of 1:1 adducts of copper(1) halides with nitrile bases (exemplified by aceto- and benzo-nitrile ) have been systematically explored in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crystal structures of the simple monoclinic and orthorhombic polytypes of tripotassium hexacyanoferrate(III)
TL;DR: The room temperature (295 K) crystal structures of potassium ferricyanide, K3[Fe(CN)6], have been determined for the simplest monoclinic and orthorhombic polytypes by single-crystal X-ray diffraction as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cluster chemistry: LXXXII. Reactions between Ru3(μ-dppm)(CO)10 and 1-alkynes and related chemistry. Crystal structures of Ru3(μ-H)(μ3-C2C6F5)(μ-dppm)(CO)7, Ru3{μ3-PPhCH2PPh(C6H4))}(μ-C4H2Ph2)(CO)6, AuRu3(μ3-C2Ph)(μ-dppm)(CO)7{P(C6H4Me-p)3} and Ru2(μ-I)(μ-dppm)(μ-C2Ph)(CO)4
Michael I. Bruce,Paul A. Humphrey,Ernst Horn,Edward R. T. Tiekink,Brian W. Skelton,Allan H. White +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a metallacyclopentadiene unit was obtained for the complex Ru2(μ-I)(μ-dppm)(μ -C2Ph)(CO)4 (12) by treating 3 with I2 and the molecular structures of 6, 9, 11 and 12 were determined by singlecrystal X-ray studies.
