Journal ArticleDOI

Long magnetic relaxation time of tetracoordinate Co2+ in imidazo[1,5-a]pyridinium-based (C13H12N3)2[CoCl4] hybrid salt and [Co(C13H12N3)Cl3] molecular complex.

TL;DR: The novel organic-inorganic hybrid salt [L]2[CoCl4] and molecular complex [CoLCl3] (2), where L+ is 2-methyl-3-(pyridin-2-yl)imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine cation, are unique with respect to the remarkably long relaxation time for a given applied DC field and temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel spiro and fused heterocycles from the allylation of indigo

TL;DR: In this paper, the allylation of indigo results in the one-step synthesis of two unique complex heterocyclic systems: a spiroindoline-pyridoindolone arising from the addition of three allyl moieties and a fused pyrido-indolo-azepino indolone generated by cyclisation of two allyl mixtures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular structures of mixed-ligand palladium(II) and platinum(II) alkyl complexes, including three isomorphous compounds

TL;DR: The crystal structures of four triclinic space group P with two molecules in the unit cell have been determined in this paper, and a comparison of the M-C bonds reveals that those of Pt are consistently shorter than those of Pd, in agreement with proposed relative and bond strength.
Journal ArticleDOI

'soft' calixarenes : structural aspects of calixarene allyl ethers and of thiacalixarene synthesis

TL;DR: In this article, a triclinic X-ray structure determination of p-t-butylcalix[n]arenes, n = 4 or 6, with a view to establishing ligand baseline conformations for subsequent metal complexation studies was carried out.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural Study of the Anthelmintic Macrodiolide Pyrenophorol

TL;DR: A metabolite isolated from the culture filtrate of an isolate of the fungus Byssochlamys nivea has been shown to be the macrodiolide pyrenophorol, by an X-ray crystallographic study.
