Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Structural Analysis of a Helical Coordination Polymer Formed by the Self-Assembly of a 2,2'-Bipyridine-Based exo-Ditopic Macrocyclic Ligand and Silver Cations.

TL;DR: The overall topology of coordination polymers can be controlled by means of the coordination preferences of the metal center and the structure of the bridging ligand and is demonstrated by the synthesis of a single-stranded helical coordination polymer by the self-assembly of the exo-ditopic ligand 1 and silver ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Harzianic acid, an antifungal and plant growth promoting metabolite from Trichoderma harzianum

TL;DR: A Trichoderma harzianum strain, isolated from composted hardwood bark in Western Australia, was found to produce a metabolite with antifungal and plant growth promoting activity, which showed antibiotic activity against Pythium irregulare, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, and Rhizoctonia solani.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and structural characterisation of linear Au(I) N-heterocyclic carbene complexes: New analogues of the Au(I) phosphine drug Auranofin

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and characterisation of a series of neutral Au(I) N-heterocyclic carbene complexes (NHC)AuX] (X = Cl and 2′, 3′, 4′, 6′-tetra-O-acetyl-β-d -glucopyranosyl-1-thiolato) are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

A pyridine bridged dicarbene ligand and its silver(I) and palladium(II) complexes: synthesis, structures, and catalytic applications ☆

TL;DR: The potentially tridentate ligand 2,6-bis[(methylimidazolium-1-yl)methyl]pyridine dibromide reacts readily with silver(I) oxide in dichloromethane or dimethylsulfoxide to give a dinuclear silver-I-carbene complex that was isolated as the tetrafluoroborate salt as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation, crystal structure and synthesis of arsenobetaine, a constituent of the western rock lobster, the dusky shark, and some samples of human urine

TL;DR: Arsenobetaine has been isolated from the tail muscle of the western rock lobster (Panulirus cygnus George) and from the flesh of the dusky shark (Carcharhinus obscurus Le Sueur), both of which are commercially important seafoods as mentioned in this paper.
