C-Myb(+) erythro-myeloid progenitor-derived fetal monocytes give rise to adult tissue-resident macrophages
Guillaume Hoeffel,Jinmiao Chen,Yonit Lavin,Donovan Low,Francisca F. Almeida,Peter See,Anna E. Beaudin,Josephine Lum,Ivy Low,E. Camilla Forsberg,Michael Poidinger,Francesca Zolezzi,Anis Larbi,Lai Guan Ng,Jerry Kok Yen Chan,Melanie Greter,Burkhard Becher,Igor M. Samokhvalov,Miriam Merad,Florent Ginhoux +19 more
TL;DR: It is shown that YS MFs are the main precursors of microglia, while most other MFs derive from fetal monocytes (MOs), which arise from erythro-myeloid progenitors (EMPs) generated in the YS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Correction: Corrigendum: A subpopulation of high IL-21-producing CD4+ T cells in Peyer’s Patches is induced by the microbiota and regulates germinal centers
L. A. Jones,Wen Qi Ho,Sze Ying,Lakshmi Ramakrishna,Kandhadayar G. Srinivasan,Marina Yurieva,Wan Pei Ng,Sharrada Subramaniam,Nur H. Hamadee,Sabrina Joseph,Jayashree Dolpady,Koji Atarashi,Kenya Honda,Francesca Zolezzi,Michael Poidinger,Juan J. Lafaille,Maria A. Curotto de Lafaille +16 more
TL;DR: Scientific Reports 6: Article number: 30784; published online: 08 August 2016; updated: 10 October 2016 .
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of cDC1- and cDC2-committed DC progenitors reveals early lineage priming at the common DC progenitor stage in the bone marrow
Andreas Schlitzer,V. Sivakamasundari,Jinmiao Chen,Hermi Sumatoh,Jaring Schreuder,Josephine Lum,Benoit Malleret,Sanqian Zhang,Anis Larbi,Francesca Zolezzi,Laurent Rénia,Michael Poidinger,Shalin H. Naik,Evan W. Newell,Paul Robson,Florent Ginhoux +15 more
TL;DR: This work found that transcriptional signatures of the cDC1 and cDC2 lineages became evident at the single-cell level from the CDP stage, and identified Siglec-H and Ly6C as lineage markers that distinguished pre-DC subpopulations committed to the c DC1 lineage (SigleC-H−Ly6C− pre- DCs) or c DC2 lineage (CDC2 lineage).
Journal ArticleDOI
Mapping the human DC lineage through the integration of high-dimensional techniques
Peter See,Charles-Antoine Dutertre,Charles-Antoine Dutertre,Jinmiao Chen,Patrick Günther,Naomi McGovern,Sergio Erdal Irac,Merry Gunawan,Marc Beyer,Marc Beyer,Kristian Händler,Kaibo Duan,Hermi Sumatoh,Nicolas Ruffin,Mabel Jouve,Ester Gea-Mallorquí,Raoul C.M. Schultze,Joachim L. Schultze,Evan W. Newell,Florent Ginhoux +40 more
TL;DR: Two unbiased high-dimensional technologies are employed to characterize the human DC lineage from bone marrow to blood and provide new markers that can be used to identify unambiguously pre-DC from pDC, including CD33, CX3CR1, CD2, CD5, and CD327.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metformin as adjunct antituberculosis therapy
Amit Singhal,Liu Jie,Pavanish Kumar,Gan Suay Hong,Melvin Khee-Shing Leow,Melvin Khee-Shing Leow,Bhairav Paleja,Liana Tsenova,Liana Tsenova,Natalia Kurepina,Jinmiao Chen,Francesca Zolezzi,Barry N. Kreiswirth,Michael Poidinger,Michael Poidinger,Cynthia B.E. Chee,Gilla Kaplan,Gilla Kaplan,Yee Tang Wang,Gennaro De Libero,Gennaro De Libero +20 more
TL;DR: It is reported that the antidiabetic drug metformin (MET) reduces the intracellular growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) in an AMPK (adenosine monophosphate–activated protein kinase)–dependent manner, and controls the growth of drug-resistant Mtb strains.
