TL;DR: In this paper, a platform for ultra-strong optical modulation in hybrid silicon nitride (SiN)/2D waveguides, by leveraging the gate dependent absorption modulation in graphene and the strong electro-refractive effects in monolayer TMDs, is demonstrated.
