Radio frequency electrical transduction of graphene mechanical resonators
Yuehang Xu,Changyao Chen,Vikram Deshpande,Frank A. DiRenno,Alexander Gondarenko,David B. Heinz,Shuaimin Liu,Philip Kim,James Hone +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a vector network analyzer is used to detect the mechanical motion of graphene mechanical resonators, and a local gate is employed to minimize the parasitic capacitance of graphene resonators.
Journal ArticleDOI
Negligible Environmental Sensitivity of Graphene in a Hexagonal Boron Nitride/Graphene/h-BN Sandwich Structure
TL;DR: In the sandwich structure, the graphene 2D Raman feature has a higher frequency and narrower line width than in pristine suspended graphene, implying that the local h-BN environment modestly yet measurably changes graphene electron and phonon dispersions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stripe phases in WSe2/WS2 moir\'e superlattices
Chenhao Jin,Zui Tao,Tingxin Li,Yang Xu,Yanhao Tang,Jiacheng Zhu,Song Liu,Kenji Watanabe,Takashi Taniguchi,James Hone,Liang Fu,Jie Shan,Kin Fai Mak +12 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that two-dimensional semiconductor moiré superlattices are a highly tunable platform from which to study the stripe phases and their interplay with other symmetry breaking ground states.
Journal ArticleDOI
One-Dimensional Moir\'e Excitons in Transition-Metal Dichalcogenide Heterobilayers
Yusong Bai,Lin Zhou,Jue Wang,Wenjing Wu,L. J. McGilly,Dorri Halbertal,Chiu Fan B. Lo,Fang Liu,Jenny Ardelean,Pasqual Rivera,Nathan Finney,Xu-Chen Yang,Dmitri Basov,Wang Yao,Xiaodong Xu,James Hone,Abhay Pasupathy,Xiaoyang Zhu +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the 1D moire potentials from real space imaging and the corresponding 1D Moire excitons from photoluminescence (PL) emission in transition-metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) heterobilayers have been reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterning metal contacts on monolayer MoS2 with vanishing Schottky barriers using thermal nanolithography
Xiaorui Zheng,Xiaorui Zheng,Annalisa Calò,Annalisa Calò,Edoardo Albisetti,Edoardo Albisetti,Edoardo Albisetti,Xiangyu Liu,Xiangyu Liu,Abdullah Sanad M. Alharbi,Ghidewon Arefe,Xiaochi Liu,Martin Spieser,Won Jong Yoo,Takashi Taniguchi,Kenji Watanabe,Carmela Aruta,Alberto Ciarrocchi,Andras Kis,Brian S. Lee,Michal Lipson,James Hone,Davood Shahrjerdi,Elisa Riedo +23 more
TL;DR: In this paper, thermal scanning probe lithography is used to pattern metal electrodes in direct contact with monolayer MoS2, creating field effect transistors that exhibit vanishing Schottky barrier heights, high on/off ratios of 1010, no hysteresis, and subthreshold swings as low as 64
