Two-dimensional materials prospects for non-volatile spintronic memories

TL;DR: In this article , the authors provide an overview of the current developments and challenges in regard to MRAM, and then outline the opportunities that can arise by incorporating two-dimensional material technologies, highlighting the fundamental properties of atomically smooth interfaces, the reduced material intermixing, the crystal symmetries and the proximity effects as the key drivers for possible disruptive improvements for MRAM at advanced technology nodes.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

22-nm FD-SOI Embedded MRAM Technology for Low-Power Automotive-Grade-l MCU Applications

TL;DR: 22-nm FD-SOI 40Mb embedded MRAM (eMRAM) macros for automotive-grade-l (Auto-G1) MCU applications are demonstrated and the effects of magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) size on reliability and scalability of eMRAM technology beyond 22 nm are examined.
