Journal ArticleDOI
KAP1 regulates gene networks controlling mouse B-lymphoid cell differentiation and function
Francesca R. Santoni de Sio,Joanna Massacand,Isabelle Barde,Sandra Offner,Andrea Corsinotti,Adamandia Kapopoulou,Karolina Bojkowska,Antonis Dagklis,Marylise Fernandez,Paolo Ghia,James H. Thomas,Daniel D. Pinschewer,Nicola L. Harris,Didier Trono +13 more
TL;DR: The role of KRAB/KAP1-mediated epigenetic regulation in B-cell development and homeostasis is revealed and a role for this molecule in gene silencing in vivo is revealed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of lymphotoxin beta governs immunity at two distinct levels.
Tobias Junt,Alexei V. Tumanov,Nicola L. Harris,Mathias Heikenwalder,Nicolas Zeller,Dmitry V. Kuprash,Adriano Aguzzi,Burkhard Ludewig,Sergei A. Nedospasov,Rolf M. Zinkernagel +9 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that LTβ expression influences immune reactivity at two distinct levels: (i) expression of LTβ on lymphocytes enhances the induction of immune responses against limiting amounts of antigen and (ii) Expression of LT β on non‐lymphocytes governs antiviral immunity by enhancing antigen presentation on antigen‐presenting cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lymphotoxin-Dependent B Cell-FRC Crosstalk Promotes De Novo Follicle Formation and Antibody Production following Intestinal Helminth Infection.
Lalit Kumar Dubey,Luc Lebon,Ilaria Mosconi,Chen Ying Yang,Elke Scandella,Burkhard Ludewig,Sanjiv A. Luther,Nicola L. Harris +7 more
TL;DR: A role for type 2 inflammation in promoting stromal cell remodeling and de novo follicle formation by promoting B cell-stromal cell crosstalk is revealed.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Mucosal Adjuvant Cholera Toxin B Instructs Non-Mucosal Dendritic Cells to Promote IgA Production Via Retinoic Acid and TGF-β
Anouk K. Gloudemans,Maud Plantinga,Martin Guilliams,Monique Willart,Arifa Ozir-Fazalalikhan,Alwin J. van der Ham,Louis Boon,Nicola L. Harris,Hamida Hammad,Henk C. Hoogsteden,Maria Yazdanbakhsh,Rudi W. Hendriks,Bart N. Lambrecht,Bart N. Lambrecht,Hermelijn H. Smits +14 more
TL;DR: This study highlights that synergism between CTB and MyD88-dependent TLR signals selectively imprints a TI IgA-inducing capacity in non-mucosal DCs, explaining how CTB acts as an IgA promoting adjuvant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neutrophil-macrophage cooperation and its impact on tissue repair.
TL;DR: This review will concentrate on the involvement of the phagocytes, namely macrophages and neutrophils, with a particular focus on the more recent understanding of how interactions between these two cell types impact on the final outcome of tissue repair.
