Alterations in ultraspiracle (USP) content and phosphorylation state accompany feedback regulation of ecdysone synthesis in the insect prothoracic gland.

TL;DR: Analysis of the prothoracic gland of Manduca sexta and composite data suggest that USP plays a key role in modulating PTTH-stimulated ecdysteroid biosynthesis through the selective expression and phosphorylation of the p47 USP isoform.
