Journal ArticleDOI
Proliferative capacity of murine hematopoietic stem cells.
TL;DR: A model of the hematopoietic stem cell compartment as a continuum of cells with decreasing capacities for self-renewal, increasing likelihood for differentiation, and increasing proliferative activity is supported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Angiogenesis as a Predictor of Long-term Survival for Patients With Node-Negative Breast Cancer
Ruth Heimann,Donald J. Ferguson,Claire Powers,Wendy Recant,Ralph R. Weichselbaum,Samuel Hellman +5 more
TL;DR: Angiogenesis as measured by MVC is a reliable independent prognostic marker of long-term survival in patients with node-negative breast cancer and the prognostic usefulness of this marker is maintained after more than 15 years of follow-up.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-b1 monoclonal antibody and complement treatment in autologous bone-marrow transplantation for relapsed b-cell non-hodgkin's lymphoma
Lee M. Nadler,Leslie E. Botnick,Robert W. Finberg,George P. Canellos,Tak Takvorian,Robert C. Bast,Samuel Hellman,Stuart F. Schlossman +7 more
TL;DR: Eight patients with relapsed B- cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma were treated with intensive chemoradiotherapy and reconstituted with autologous bone marrow rendered free of tumour cells by the B-cell-specific monoclonal antibody anti-B1 and complement.
Journal Article
The role of lymphatic obstruction in the formation of ascites in a murine ovarian carcinoma.
TL;DR: Observations suggest that lymphatic obstruction by tumor cells is probably of pathogenetic importance in the accumulation of ascitic fluid in mice inoculated with a transplantable, ascites-producing ovarian tumor.
Journal ArticleDOI
