01 Dec 2019TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the Roniz aquifer located in 160 km south East of Shiraz, 97 electerical sounding was implanted and with its help the depth and Subsurface layers thickness in area was determined.
Abstract: In order to manage groundwater resources and presenting appropriate management strategies, the value of acquiring Knowledge of groundwater flow and volume estimate is obvious. Particularly, since in IRAN due to its climate conditions (dry and semi-dry), water resources for agriculture is strongly linked to groundwater resources. In this regard, vertical sounding with Schlumberger array is the most common and most useful geophysical method in groundwater exploration studies. In this study, to evaluate the Roniz aquifer located in 160 km south East of Shiraz, 97 electerical sounding was implanted. Field data in view of the log wells and area geological data was processed and interpretated by IPI2Win software and with its help the depth and Subsurface layers thickness in area was determined. Acquired Results from interpretation of sounding curves in the region shows four to five main layers, Which contains a dry alluvial layer average with electric resistance of 200 Ω-m and an average thickness of 20–60 m, Sandstone layer with electrical resistance of 340 Ω-m and an average thickness of between 10 and 15 m, Marl layer with electrical resistance 20–41 Ω-m and thickness of 20–30 m, Aquifer (lime) layer with the electrical resistance of 0.4–6 Ω m and a thickness of between 6 and 8 m, and lime stone floor from a depth of about 150 m down. In addition that with the help of these soundings, 13 wells were designed and are being exploited.

01 Dec 2019TL;DR: The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm, ZIBA, has admissible precision for document image binarization.
Abstract: In this paper, we proposed an algorithm based on game theory for document image binarization. For designing the algorithm, we formulate document image binarization using zero-sum game in which foreground of the image with textual shapes and background of the image are considered as two players. Then the best distance between the players is calculated. Finally, a global threshold is set for binarization of the image. The proposed algorithm is called Zero-sum Image Binarization Algorithm (ZIBA). The experimental results show that ZIBA has admissible precision for document image binarization.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed literature from Google Scholar search engine and PubMed database from '2013 to 2020' using the terms "COVID-19; SARS-CoV-2; Diabetes mellitus; obesity; Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2; ACE2; Insulin and Metformin.
Abstract: Introduction While the main mode of transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is close contact with other individuals, the presence of chronic underlying diseases such as Diabetes Mellitus (DM) increases the chance of hospitalization and mortality rate due to infection. Areas covered To investigate the effects of COVID-19 infection in DM patients, we reviewed literature from Google Scholar search engine and PubMed database from '2013 to 2020' using the terms "COVID-19; SARS-CoV-2; Diabetes mellitus; obesity; Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2; ACE2; Insulin and Metformin. Evidence suggests that COVID-19 exacerbates the course of diabetes. Presence of pro-inflammatory conditions, increased expression of receptors, and more difficult control of glucose levels in diabetics COVID-19 patients are some of the problems that diabetic patients may face. Also, psychological problems caused by the COVID-19 epidemic in diabetic patients is one of the most important problems in these patients, which is less covered. Expert opinion DM is a strong and independent risk factor with a poor prognosis, which increases the risk of COVID-19 infection, the need for emergency services, the rate of hospitalization in the intensive care unit and also increases the mortality rate of COVID-19 patients.

TL;DR: A noise elimination algorithm is applied where the image is preserved by preservation of the edges and image texture details, without fading during the image smoothing process, and finds better results than other traditional methods.
Abstract: In the present era, transfer of digital images via communication channel is affected by noise. Received images need to be processed so that noise is eliminated, which requires information about the noise and the image. Noise is an unwanted signal that interferes with the original signal and reduces the quality of the digital image. In this article, a noise elimination algorithm is applied where the image is preserved by preservation of the edges and image texture details, without fading during the image smoothing process. Eliminating of the noise from the image by preserving the edges is becoming one of the researched after topic in digital image transfer. Many noise elimination techniques have been developed for image processing and computer visual communities. Although these methods appear to be very different by using compound filter banks to create an uncompromising feature to maintain meaningful edges, we find better results than other traditional methods. In this article, we have removed the noise filter relatively and efficiently using the Dmeyer Wavelets Transform, Hybrid Wavelets Directional and Wavelet transforms by applying the Caesar window, and improved the edges of the image.
