TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction between iron and copper on growth parameters (plant height, fresh weight of roots, stem length, stem’s length and shoot fresh weight), total proteins and the antioxidant enzymes activity in Cuminum cyminum L. were investigated.
Abstract: In this study, the interaction between iron and copper on growth parameters (plant height, fresh weight of roots, stem’s length, fresh weight of shoots, fresh and dry weight of seeds), total proteins and the antioxidant enzymes activity in Cuminum cyminum L. were investigated. This experiment was carried out in completely randomized blocks with 9 treatments in 3 repetitions. Plants were treated with Fe fertilizer (0, 3, 6 kgh) together with CuSO4, 5H2O (0, 100, 200 μM). Maximum level of stem length and shoot fresh weight was observed in Fe3Cu100. In the treatment of Fe6Cu100, root weight was significantly increased. Fresh and dry weights of seeds were significantly increased under Fe3 treatment. High concentration of Fe fertilizer with low concentration of CuSO4 decreased catalase and peroxidase enzymes activities. However, by increasing concentration of Cu in both Fe levels, the activity of ascorbate peroxidase was decreased.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the relationship between accounting conservatism and leverage in private banks listed in Tehran Stock Exchange and found that by increase (decrease) in financial leverage, private banks tend to be more conservative.
Abstract: This study investigated the relationship between accounting conservatism and leverage in private banks has been listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. In this paper, the measure of accounting conservatism is based on Adjusted-Basu model. Some Criterion such as debt to equity ratio and debt to the Central Bank and other banks to assets ratio are considered as leverage proxies. Also to investigate the role of possible factors influencing the relationship, the role of other variables such as size, ROA and Tobin's Q were also studied. Statistical samples are private banks listed in Tehran Stock Exchange over the period 2005-2013. The results showed that by increase (decrease) in financial leverage, private banks tend to be more (less) conservative. This result approved the existence of efficient contracting view in private banks listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. This relationship is significant and positive only for debt to equity ratio; but there is not any significant relationship between debts to Central bank and other banks ratio and conservatism.

TL;DR: Findings indicate that intermittent red light cause damage in the photoreceptor layer of the rabbit retina; also, higher light intensity increased these damages.
Abstract: The purpose of this research was to investigate the fine structure of the photoreceptor layer of male rabbits exposed to intermittent red light with different intensities. Thirty adult male rabbits were divided into three groups: control group, experimental group 1 (exposed to 3 h/3 h 60 W red light) and experimental group 2 (exposed to 3 h/3 h 100 W red light). The retina of the eye was removed and studied by transmission electron microscope. Results showed that the experimental group 1 exhibited slight loss of mitochondrial cristae and vacuolization in inner segment, but the other layer of photoreceptor appeared normal. Disorganization and loss of outer segment showed in experimental group 2. Vacuolization, loss of mitochondrial cristae, cell swelling, and pyknotic nuclei were observed in this group. These findings indicate that intermittent red light cause damage in the photoreceptor layer of the rabbit retina; also, higher light intensity increased these damages.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated whether the two major characteristics of question type and consecutive/simultaneous performance have any impact on the listening performance of Iranian EFL learners in task-based listening tests.
Abstract: Task-based listening tests such as IELTS require testees to listen to some information on a CD and simultaneously answer the related items. To answer such items, testees are expected to comprehend, analyze, compare and infer pieces of information while listening to the incoming audio material. The present research attempted to investigate whether the two major characteristics of question type and consecutive/simultaneous performance have any impact on the listening performance of Iranian EFL learners. Findings indicated that participants had a significantly better performance when they tackled the tasks consecutively, and performed even better in listening MC items rather than in listening task-based items. The researchers, thus, concluded that task-based listening tests such as IELTS listening module may be under the influence of construct-irrelevant variance.

TL;DR: The title compound, C10H10N2, is composed of a one-dimensional anionic complex, a doubly protonated 4,4′-bipyridine molecule as a counter-ion and five uncoordinated water molecules.
Abstract: The title compound, {(C10H10N2)[Ce2(C7H3NO4)4(H2O)4]·5H2O}n, is composed of a one-dimensional anionic complex, a doubly protonated 4,4′-bipyridine molecule as a counter-ion and five uncoordinated water molecules. The anion bears two nine-coordinate CeIII ions, each with a distorted tricapped trigonal–prismatic geometry. In the crystal, intermolecular C—H⋯O, N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, as well as π–π interactions with centroid–centroid distances of 3.514 (3) A connect the various components into a supramolecular structure.
