TL;DR: This work is focusing on detecting text in an image, and uses Canny Edge Detection to discover the boundaries of the text present in the image from the Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSER).
Abstract: The goal of this paper is for extricating the text present in image and identify the text written using MATLAB programming language. Text Extrication from image and recognition as a whole have enormous relevance from the point of view of application, like content-based image restoration, document indexing and identification. Moreover, this triggers vast advanced systems. This work is focusing on detecting text in an image. To find a special sign in a natural image is sometimes frustrating. By using this method, it is easy to identify this type of object in an image like traffic sign, using Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Automatic task detection algorithms help to identify such situations in an image and highly efficient. It also uses Canny Edge Detection to discover the boundaries of the text present in the image from the Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSER).

01 Jan 2020TL;DR: A ligand-based 3D pharmacophore and QSAR approach is used for the selection of potentially active compounds for inhibitory action against the enoyl-ACP-reductase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, followed by molecular modelling, dynamic simulation and binding energy calculation methods.
Abstract: In the present work, a ligand-based 3D pharmacophore and QSAR approach is used for the selection of potentially active compounds for inhibitory action against the enoyl-ACP-reductase (InhA) from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, followed by molecular modelling, dynamic simulation and binding energy calculation methods. The biological activity of the molecules is measured by logIC50 (50% inhibitory concentration). The molecular descriptors are used to build statistical models to predict the biological activity of interest.

01 Jan 2017TL;DR: This chapter describes the use of fuzzy set theory and intuitionistic fuzzySet theory in DNA sequence comparison and shows an indirect application of fuzzyset theory in comparing protein sequences.
Abstract: This chapter describes the use of fuzzy set theory and intuitionistic fuzzy set theory in DNA sequence comparison. It also shows an indirect application of fuzzy set theory in comparing protein sequences. In fact, protein sequences consist of 20 amino acids. The chapter shows how such amino acids can be classified in six different groups. These groups are obtained purely from theoretical considerations. These are entirely different from the known groups of amino acids based on biological considerations. Also it is known how these classified groups of amino acids help in protein sequence comparison. The results of comparison differ as the groups differ in number and their compositions. Naturally it is expected that newer results of comparison will come out from such newer classified groups of amino acids obtained theoretically. Thus fuzzy set theory is also useful in protein sequence comparison.

27 Dec 2009TL;DR: A prioritized call admission procedure using the combination of buffer and guard channel schemes applicable to the heterogeneous networks in general and Wireless Overlay Network (WON) in particular is presented.
Abstract: This paper proposes a model for call admission control in the next generation wireless networks It presents a prioritized call admission procedure using the combination of buffer and guard channel schemes applicable to the heterogeneous networks in general and Wireless Overlay Network (WON) in particular Call admission priority is given to the real time calls over the non-real time calls which are classified in the network layer using unused bits of the IP header. Priority is also assigned to inter-layer (vertical) calls over intra-layer (horizontal) calls and handoff calls over new generated calls. A mathematical model using phase type distribution has been presented for analysis of the scheme using matrix generator method. The scheme assures quality of service (QoS) and smooth vertical handoff.
