01 Dec 2011TL;DR: This paper analyzes the issue and proposes a mathematical model to optimize the value of time t which minimizes the total cost involved in the system and ensures prolonged system life time.
Abstract: Recent advances and development of wireless sensor network are based on low-cost, low-power and multifunctional solutions of the sensor nodes Sensor Networks are very much data concentric and dependent on the performance of the sensor nodes Sensing the network, processing data and broadcasting to other nodes are common jobs for the sensor node The positions of the node are not fixed in the network but dynamic based on different algorithms applicable in different situations As a result, the topology of sensor network changes very frequently Sensor nodes perform four basic functional blocks:- sensing unit, processing unit, transceiver unit and the power unit If any one of these block fails, then the entire network may became unstable Sometime the solution is to repair the faulty block or to replace it by new one Sometimes, repairing may take considerable time which leads to longer downtime and thereby, increase in the maintenance cost On the other hand, replacements of the faulty block may reduce downtime but may enhance the cost There should be an optimized solution for delay, beyond which the replacement cost may become less than the repair cost This paper analyzes this issue and proposes a mathematical model to optimize the value of time t which minimizes the total cost involved in the system and ensures prolonged system life time

TL;DR: In this article, multi-fractal DFA analysis has been applied to properly distinguish the pre-music and on-music state of some normal healthy subjects in an experiment carried out at School of Bio-Science and Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.
Abstract: The 2D Poincare' plot of HRV signal reflects the effect of different external stimuli on ANS. The classification is generally done by fitting an `ellipse' on the dense region of the constructed Poincare' plot of HRV signal. However 2D Poincare' plot sometimes fails to describe the proper behavior of the system. One such example is 2D Poincare' plot of HRV signal in pre-music and on-music condition. In fact 2D Poincare' plots in pre and on-music condition look almost similar for few subjects. So a proper classification tool is sought for. In this article, multi-fractal DFA analysis has been applied to properly distinguish the pre-music and on-music state of some normal healthy subjects. The whole experiment is carried out at School of Bio-Science and Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.

01 Jan 2018TL;DR: This paper proposes a security framework by applying Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) technique using secret key derived from biological data of the patients as well as doctors for ensuring data confidentiality and authentication of users.
Abstract: Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is becoming popular gradually and is showing better performance in health monitoring. In WBAN nodes are placed on or inside human body that collect information and send them to remote server wirelessly. Strict security is required to protect patient’s personal data. In this paper we made a detailed survey of the state-of-the art security works in WBAN. We propose a security framework by applying Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) technique using secret key derived from biological data of the patients as well as doctors for ensuring data confidentiality and authentication of users. We have implemented our proposed method in a cloud based environment to analyze end-to-end delay of patient data transmission using different keys derived from different biological information of users. Simulation setup and experimental results are given for detailed view and better understanding of our work.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new logarithmic operational laws of trapezoidal neutrosophic number (TNN) were derived and established, and a new MCGDM approach is being demonstrated with the help of log-scale operational law and aggregation operators, which has been successfully deployed to solve numerical problems.
Abstract: In the current era, the theory of vagueness and multi-criteria group decision making (MCGDM) techniques are extensively applied by the researchers in disjunctive fields like recruitment policies, financial investment, design of the complex circuit, clinical diagnosis of disease, material management, etc. Recently, trapezoidal neutrosophic number (TNN) draws a major awareness to the researchers as it plays an essential role to grab the vagueness and uncertainty of daily life problems. In this article, we have focused, derived and established new logarithmic operational laws of trapezoidal neutrosophic number (TNN) where the logarithmic base μ is a positive real number. Here, logarithmic trapezoidal neutrosophic weighted arithmetic aggregation (Larm) operator and logarithmic trapezoidal neutrosophic weighted geometric aggregation (Lgeo) operator have been introduced using the logarithmic operational law. Furthermore, a new MCGDM approach is being demonstrated with the help of logarithmic operational law and aggregation operators, which has been successfully deployed to solve numerical problems. We have shown the stability and reliability of the proposed technique through sensitivity analysis. Finally, a comparative analysis has been presented to legitimize the rationality and efficiency of our proposed technique with the existing methods.
