TL;DR: An efficient technique is described for managing the congestion in electric transmission network based on rescheduling the nearby generators and/or shedding some of the loads based on genetic algorithm (GA) and fuzzy environment.
Abstract: In this paper an efficient technique is described for managing the congestion in electric transmission network based on rescheduling the nearby generators and/or shedding some of the loads. To incorporate the uncertainty in the system objectives and parameters, fuzzy environment is considered for the formulation of the problem. In the solution process bio-inspired computational technique, genetic algorithm (GA) is used. The approach is illustrated by standard IEEE 30-bus 6-generator test system.

TL;DR: In this paper, a gradient-free optimization algorithm has been used for Bezier curve-based base path modification for passing through the designated via-point with the strength of nonlinear simplex optimizer in the limited three-dimensional solution space.
Abstract: Path generation and modification are very important issues in the operation of automated vehicles. The pertaining processing time and accuracy in real time often depend on the type of solution algorithm. In this paper, a gradient-free optimization algorithm has been used for Bezier curve-based base path modification for passing through the designated via-point. The strength of nonlinear simplex optimizer in the limited three-dimensional solution space is added with the features of no requirement of computing derivatives and smooth objective function. The performance of the proposed method is compared with that of the method using gradient-based optimizer through computer simulation results.

TL;DR: In this paper, the photo electric characteristics of the developed photo sensor have been analyzed in terms of photo current, photo responsivity and quantum efficiency in 300nm - 900nm wavelength region. And the results clearly establish the superiority of proposed photo-sensor for developing medical instruments in visible wavelength region (300nm- 900nm).
Abstract: In this paper, Quantum Corrected (QMC) horizontally doped Si/4H-SiC multi layers avalanche photo sensor (APS) has been developed for application in bio-medical domain. The photo electric characteristics of the developed photo sensor has been analysed in terms of photo current, photo responsivity and quantum efficiency in 300nm – 900nm wavelength region. These all parameters have been improved considerably by incorporating Si/4H-SiC multi layers structure into the active region of the devices. Recently demand of such bio-medical photo-sensors is increasing significantly for identification of anti-bodies and virus in human blood. The validity of newly developed model has been established by comparing the simulated result with the reported experimental data. The photo electrical characteristics analysis of the designed QMC model-based Si/4H-SiC multi layers avalanche photo sensor depict that the photo current is ~20μA whereas the photo responsivity and quantum efficiency are ~0.65A/Wand ~0.67 respectively. The results clearly establish the superiority of proposed photo-sensor for developing medical instruments in visible wavelength region (300nm – 900nm).

TL;DR: A thorough performance comparison between rotor speed observer designs of armature controlled DC motor using pole placement technique with that of the LMI technique has been accomplished and the results generated through MATLAB simulation were interesting in the perspective of speed and current observation error.
Abstract: In view of recent advancement in consumer and industrial devices, sensorless estimation has been accepted and applied widely Speed measurement of brushed permanent magnet direct current (PMDC) motor is an integral part of controlling velocity servomechanism The model-based observer design is simply achieved by following pole placement technique; however, in the parameter varying environment, the issue of robust performance has to be accounted for The LMI technique-based observer is supposed to accommodate parameter variation but with relatively complex configuration In this paper, a thorough performance comparison between rotor speed observer designs of armature controlled DC motor using pole placement technique with that of the LMI technique has been accomplished The results generated through MATLAB simulation were interesting in the perspective of speed and current observation error
