TL;DR: This report describes licensing-structure parsing (LS-parsing), a computational model of human parsing that corresponds to human parsing at three points: the order in which the LS parser builds nodes is psychologically more accurate than the orders in which either LL or LR parsers build nodes.
Abstract: This report describeslicensing-structure parsing (LS-parsing), a computational model of human parsing. LS-parsing corresponds to human parsing at three points: (1) the order in which the LS parser builds nodes is psychologically more accurate than the orders in which either LL or LR parsers build nodes, (2) the LS parser's preferences in resolving local ambiguities are preferable to Frazier's strategies on both empirical and theoretical grounds, and (3) the backtracking strategies the parser uses when it has made an error at an earlier choice point model the distinction betweenweak andstrong garden paths-strong garden paths being irrecoverable, weak garden paths causing psychological difficulty, but not preventing recovery of the correct structure.

TL;DR: In this paper, a spinel, LiAl x Mn 2-x O 4-z F z, was fabricated which exhibits enhanced stability at elevated temperature, due to the symbiotic relationship between physical destruction induced by a surface Jahn-Teller distortion and the classic failure mechanisms presented for the chemical failure of the spinel.
Abstract: Physiochemical and electrochemical means were used to characterize the failure mechanisms of the lithium manganese oxide based solid solutions utilized as positive electrodes for Li batteries. Resultant data supports a theory in which the 22 and 55°C failure mechanisms are one in the same. The poor performance is exacerbated during cycling due to a mechanism linked to the symbiotic relationship between physical destruction induced by a surface Jahn-Teller distortion and the classic failure mechanisms presented for the chemical failure of the spinel at elevated temperature storage. Based on these findings, a spinel, LiAl x Mn 2-x O 4-z F z , was fabricated which exhibits enhanced stability at elevated temperature.

TL;DR: In this article, a gateway connects an Internet Call Processing Service Provider (ISCP) to the Internet and stores Internet call processing records ("CPRs") associated with the ISCP.
Abstract: An ISCP gateway connects an ISCP to the Internet. Internet call processing records ("CPRs") are generated and stored in a database associated with the ISCP. These Internet CPRs translate logical addresses in the URL standard to physical worldwide Web ("WWW") addresses in the URL standard. Hyperlinks Web documents are modified to include logical addresses. Browsers send requests containing logical addresses associated with hyperlinks to the ISCP gateway, which forwards the request to the ISCP. The ISCP executes a corresponding Internet CPR and returns a physical address to the Web browser. The Web browser then requests a document identified by the physical address in a normal fashion.

TL;DR: A multiresolution representation for video signals is introduced and Interpolation in an FIR (finite impulse response) scheme solves uncovered area problems, considerably improving the temporal prediction.
Abstract: A multiresolution representation for video signals is introduced. A three-dimensional spatiotemporal pyramid algorithms for high-quality compression of advanced television sequences is presented. The scheme utilizes a finite memory structure and is robust to channel errors, provides compatible subchannels, and can handle different scan formats, making it well suited for the broadcast environment. Additional features such as fast random access and reverse playback make it suitable for digital storage as well. Model-based processing is used both over space and time, where motion-based interpolation is used. Interpolation in an FIR (finite impulse response) scheme solves uncovered area problems, considerably improving the temporal prediction. The complexity is comparable to that of previous recursive schemes. Computer simulations indicate that high compression factors (about an order of magnitude) are easily achieved with no apparent loss of quality. The scheme also has a number of commonalities with the emerging MPEG standard. >
