TL;DR: In this paper, an integrated digraph and analytic hierarchy process methodology is suggested for selection of solar energy technologies, and the solar energy technology attributes digraph model presents a visual representation of the selection attributes considered and their interrelations.
Abstract: Solar energy represents our largest source of renewable energy supply. Power generated by solar energy is relatively cheaper and much more environmental friendly compared to power generation using non-renewable sources. Selection of an appropriate solar energy technology depends on a large number of criteria including technological, economic, social and political factors. In the present work, an integrated digraph and analytic hierarchy process methodology is suggested for selection of solar energy technologies. The solar energy technology attributes digraph model presents a visual representation of the selection attributes considered and their interrelations. The solar energy technology preference index evaluates the solar energy alternatives with respect to economic, environmental, performance and social attributes. The relative importance of attributes is expressed using AHP. A detailed procedure for determination of solar energy technology preference index is suggested. Two examples are considered in order to demonstrate and validate the effectiveness and flexibility of the proposed methodology.

TL;DR: The main aim is to calculate the area required for the modular multiplier using Montgomery reduction algorithm, which is a full-featured circuit including Carry save Adders, shift registers, multiplexers, parallel registers component and are too big to fit into a single Altera Stratix Device on the Field Programmable platform, so that they are unable to test in real hardware.
Abstract: Modular multiplication plays a vital role in RSA Cryptography and Elliptical Curve Cryptography. We have implemented a 256-bit Modular multiplier using Montgomery Reduction Algorithm in VHDL. The output of the Montgomery multiplier is Z = X*Y R−1 mod M. Our main aim is to calculate the area required for the modular multiplier using Montgomery reduction algorithm. It is a full-featured circuit including Carry save Adders, shift registers, multiplexers, parallel registers component and are too big to fit into a single Altera Stratix Device on the Field Programmable platform, so that we are unable to test them in real hardware. However, each sub-component was simulated in Model-Sim SE 6.0 and Altera Quartus II 8.0 and proved functionally correct.

TL;DR: In this article, Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is used for sensor fusion and to get precise values from Inertial Measurement Unit PID algorithms are used to stabilize the UAV and for maneuver Rotational speed of the four motors can be increased or decreased independently to correct the orientation or position.
Abstract: This paper presents the technique to implement stability and control of multirotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The output of the inertial sensors like accelerometer and gyroscope is noisy. These sensors are used to get the orientation and attitude of the UAV. Most of the flight controllers available these days are built to fly in a very specific environment. One cannot fly with these flight controllers in heavy wind or where precise control is required. As a result, the UAV’s that use these flight controllers feel unresponsive and sloppy. The goal here is to get excellent flight dynamics and robust flight control which can fly in any conditions. The UAV’s should be able to do aggressive maneuvering, fault tolerance etc. In the proposed design, Kalman Filter algorithm is implemented to get precise values from Inertial Measurement Unit. Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is used for sensor fusion and to get precise values from Inertial Measurement Unit PID algorithms are used to stabilize the UAV and for maneuver Rotational speed of the four motors can be increased or decreased independently to correct the orientation or position. The flight controller is built with STM32F4 ARM controller.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed various equipment and experimental procedures incorporating different combinations for measuring shear strength and suction and emphasized on the combination of shear test apparatuses and measuring techniques.
Abstract: Shear strength is the noteworthy engineering property of soil governing various geotechnical terminologies. Conventional shear strength apparatus and procedures are merely suitable for testing saturated or dry soil. Researchers and practitioners brought the usage of unsaturated shear strength in the respective arenas. Numerous experimental procedures are developed in last few decades to evaluate the shear strength parameters including suction of an unsaturated soil. Most of these methods are complicated, time consuming and expensive. In this concern, the present paper reviews various equipment and experimental procedures incorporating different combinations for measuring shear strength and suction. This study is emphasized on the combination of shear test apparatuses and suction measuring techniques. Moreover, soil used and drainage conditions for testing of unsaturated soil are reviewed and summarized. The combination of conventional triaxial shear test and filter paper method is not trialed in Indian context. This combination of measuring shear strength unsaturated soil would be easy and cost-effective.
