TL;DR: An automatic method to find the thickness of retinal nerve fibre layer using OCT images is presented and shows that the proposed algorithm is efficient in segmenting the region of interest without manual intervention.
Abstract: The thickness of retinal nerve fibre layer (RNFL) is one of the parameters for assessing the Glaucoma. It is second largest disease which causes blindness. Glaucoma is caused due to the increase of intra ocular pressure (IOP). Vision is lost before the patient becomes aware of glaucoma. Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) provides enhanced depth and clarity of viewing tissues with high resolution compared with other medical imaging device such as fundus camera or intravascular imaging. This paper presents an automatic method to find the thickness of RNFL using OCT images. The proposed algorithm first extracts all the layers present in the retina using Sobel operator and an algorithm is then developed. The thickness measurement of RNFL is automatically displayed based on pixel calculation. The calculated thickness values are compared with the original values obtained from hospital. The result shows that the proposed algorithm is efficient in segmenting the region of interest without manual intervention. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved statistically by the performance analysis.

TL;DR: This paper presents a recommendations system for tourism and hotel based on enhanced Collaborative filtering approach that gives an important help in providing the necessary information to user based on personalized and practical services.
Abstract: As the trend of e-commerce and online shopping is increasing day by day, we need a method which can be helpful to decide whether to buy the product or not. Here the opinions of the other customers and rating for that product can be used as a considerably good parameter for designing such a system. With the development of new technologies we have a possible solution in the form of recommendation system. Recommendation system gives an important help in providing the necessary information to user based on personalized and practical services. The most vital technique in this field is which plays a crucial role is Collaborative filtering. In this paper we present a recommendations system for tourism and hotel based on enhanced Collaborative filtering approach.

TL;DR: In this article, a tri band compact octagonal fractal monopole MIMO antenna is presented and its structure is based on fractal geometry where the resonance frequency of antenna is lowered by applying iteration techniques.
Abstract: In this paper, a tri band compact octagonal fractal monopole MIMO antenna is presented. The proposed antenna is microstrip line fed and its structure is based on fractal geometry where the resonance frequency of antenna is lowered by applying iteration techniques. The simulated bandwidth of the antenna are 2.3706GHz to 2.45GHz, 3.398GHz to 3.677GHz and 4.9352GHz to 5.8988GHz (S11 < −10 dB), covering the bands of WLAN and WiMAX. The characteristics of small size, nearly omnidirectional radiation pattern and moderate gain make the proposed MIMO antenna entirely applicable to WLAN and WiMAX applications. The proposed antenna has compact size of 50 mm × 50 mm. Details of the proposed antenna design and performance are presented and discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the phase shifting in antenna has been achieved using different size and position of dumbbell shape DGS for S-band (5.2 GHz) application was carried out.
Abstract: Design and experimental analysis of beam steering in microstrip patch antenna array using dumbbell shaped Defected Ground Structure (DGS) for S-band (5.2 GHz) application was carried out in this study. The Phase shifting in antenna has been achieved using different size and position of dumbbell shape DGS. DGS has characteristics of slow wave, wide stop band and compact size. The obtained radiation pattern has provided steerable main lobe and nulls at predefined direction. The radiation pattern for different size and position of dumbbell structure in microstrip patch antenna array was measured and comparative study has been carried out.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new improved proposed optimization algorithm is presented, which mainly targets at adaptive adjustment control of pheromone and updation of active evaporation factor and makes it convenient for solving large scale problems.
Abstract: In multilevel inverters, obtaining solution to the selective harmonic elimination equation is really difficult and time consuming. Secondly, finding global optimum solution is also challenging. In this paper, new improved proposed optimization algorithm is presented. As Compared to other optimization algorithms, it will enhance the computational speed and chances for finding global solution will be more. Also it will escape the solution from stucking into local optima. This proposed algorithm mainly targets at adaptive adjustment control of pheromone and updation of active evaporation factor. In this, pheromone deposition factor and ant's movement is improved and making it convenient for solving large scale problems. Hence this proposed algorithm is applied for solving nonlinear transcendental equation which not only provides the optimized solution for switching angles but it will reduce the lower order harmonics and THD also. The various simulated and experimental results shown in the paper proves the effectiveness of proposed algorithm for finding the global optimum solution with high convergence speed.
