153Sm3+ and 111In3+ DTPA derivatives with high hepatic specificity: in vivo and in vitro studies

TLDR
Two DTPA derivatives, a mono-amide derivative containing an iodinated synthon, DTPA-IOPsp and the ligand DTPA(BOM) 3, were studied as potential hepatospecific gamma scintigraphic agents, showing that the main excretory pathway for all the chelates studied is the hepatobiliary system.

The thermodynamics of the formation of Sm(III) mixed-ligand complexes carrying α-amino acids

TL;DR: In this article, a tricapped trigonal prism was constructed around a nine coordinate Sm atom, surrounded by two N atoms and six O atoms from two nta ligands and one O from a water molecule.

Eu(III) and Tb(III) luminescent lanthanide systems derived from DTPA-bisamide and DTTA-based ligands incorporating bipyridine antenna

TL;DR: The role played by non-radiative paths (vibrational energy transfer involving coordinated water molecules, involvement of ligand-to-metal charge-transfer excited states, or metal→ligand back-transfer) was investigated in this paper.

Metal-Based Complexes as Pharmaceuticals for Molecular Imaging of the Liver

TL;DR: This article reviews the use of metal complexes as contrast agents (CA) and radiopharmaceuticals for the anatomical and functional imaging of the liver and provides an overview on approved pharmaceuticals like Gd-based CA and 99mTc-based radiometal complexes, and also on novel agents such as 68Ga-based PET tracers.

Biological studies of samarium-153 bleomycin complex in human breast cancer murine xenografts for therapeutic applications

TL;DR: The initial experiments demonstrate significant accumulation of 153Sm-BLM in tumor tissues, and demonstrates superior tumor accumulation properties in contrast with the other radiolabeled bleomycins with tumor: blood ratios at 4, 24 and 48 h, respectively, and tumor: muscle ratios while administered intravenously.

Evaluation of Hepatotoxicity of Lanthanide Complexes of Fish Catla catla

TL;DR: Chelating complexes of various lanthanide series interact with biological tissue matter differently and may show highly specific responses with respect to tissue atrophy, tissue modification, antihaemolytic and even prevention of intravenous blood clotting.

MS-325: albumin-targeted contrast agent for MR angiography.

TL;DR: As the first gadolinium-based blood pool agent in human trials, MS-325 has the potential to enhance both dynamic and steady-state MR angiograms and provides vascular signal enhancement superior to that provided with other agents.

Q1. What contributions have the authors mentioned in the paper "Sm and in dtpa derivatives with high hepatic specificity: in vivo and in vitro studies" ?

Two DTPA derivatives, a mono-amide derivative containing an iodinated synthon, DTPA-IOPsp ( L ) and the ligand DTPA ( BOM ) 1 3 153 31 111 31 ( BOM5benzyloxymethyl ) ( L ), radiolabelled with Sm and In, were studied as potential hepatospecific gamma scintigraphic 2 agents. In vivo studies with Wistar rats show that the main excretory pathway for all the chelates studied is the hepatobiliary system. The La 31 1 and In chelates of L and L show some structural and dynamic differences in aqueous solution, as studied by H NMR spectroscopy.
