Abstract
Ultrasonic guided wave inspection is expanding rapidly to many different areas of manufacturing and in-service inspection. The purpose of this paper is to provide a vision of ultrasonic guided wave inspection potential aswe move forward into the new millennium. An increased understanding of the basic physics and wave mechanics associated with guided wave inspection has led to an increase in practical nondestructive evaluation and inspection problems. Some fundamental concepts and a number of different applications that are currently being considered will be presented in the paper along with a brief description of the sensor and software technology that will make ultrasonic guided wave inspection commonplace in the next century.

An impact imaging method for monitoring on construction of immersed tube tunnel foundation treated by sand-filling method

TL;DR: In this paper, a model of a full-scale model of immersed tube tunnel foundation treated by sand filling method was conducted, and the case was simplified as a multi-layered media problem, and a nondestructive testing method based on P-wave was explored to control the sand filling time in different hole.

A study of helical lamb wave propagation on two hollow cylinders with imperfect contact conditions

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of varying interfacial conditions between two contacting hollow cylinders on the propagation of helical Lamb waves are studied, and the effect of different interfacial contact conditions in mechanically joined cylinders into propagation parameters of Lamb waves is studied.

Ultrasonic Waves in Solid Media

TL;DR: In this article, the theory of elasticity was introduced and basic formulas and concepts in complex variables in the theory and application of wave propagation were discussed. But the authors did not consider the effects of wave scattering on the wave propagation experiments.
