Age-related changes in the regulation of transcription factor NF-κB in rat brain
TLDR
A significant up-regulation in the constitutive, nucleus-located NF- κ B binding activity was observed in 30- month-old Wistar rats compared to young and 18-month-old rats, which may be related to the NF-κ B driven cellular response to adapt neurons against apoptotic pressure, as observed recently in several apoptotic conditions.Citations

Molecular inflammation: underpinnings of aging and age-related diseases.
Hae Young Chung,Matteo Cesari,Stephen D. Anton,Emanuele Marzetti,Silvia Giovannini,Arnold Y. Seo,Christy S. Carter,Byung Pal Yu,Christiaan Leeuwenburgh +8 more
TL;DR: The purpose of this review is to describe the molecular roles of age-related physiological functional declines and the accompanying chronic diseases associated with aging to provide insights into potential interventions that may affect the aging process and reduce age- related diseases, thereby promoting healthy longevity.

SIRT6 Links Histone H3 Lysine 9 Deacetylation to NF-κB-Dependent Gene Expression and Organismal Life Span

TL;DR: It is proposed that SIRT6 attenuatesNF-kappaB signaling via H3K9 deacetylation at chromatin, and hyperactive NF-kappB signaling may contribute to premature and normal aging.

Peroxisome Proliferator-activated Receptor α Activation Modulates Cellular Redox Status, Represses Nuclear Factor-κB Signaling, and Reduces Inflammatory Cytokine Production in Aging
TL;DR: The administration to aged mice of agents capable of activating the α isoform of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPARα) was found to restore the cellular redox balance and suggest that PPARα and the genes under its control play a role in the evolution of oxidative stress excesses observed in aging.

Activation of innate immunity system during aging: NF-kB signaling is the molecular culprit of inflamm-aging.
TL;DR: The conclusion is that NF-kB signaling seems to be the culprit of inflamm-aging, since this signaling system integrates the intracellular regulation of immune responses in both aging and age-related diseases.

Oxidative stress and vascular inflammation in aging
TL;DR: Lifestyle attitudes such as caloric restriction and exercise training appear as effective ways to overcome defective antioxidant response and inflammation, favoring successful vascular aging and decreasing the risk for cardiovascular disease.

Nuclear Factor Kb: An Oxidative Stress-Responsive Transcription Factor of Eukaryotic Cells (A Review)
TL;DR: The evidences that NF-kappa B is an oxidative stress-responsive transcription factor of higher eukaryotic cells are discussed, including that antioxidants not only suppress the activation of NF- kappa B by H2O2 but by all other inducers tested so far.

Genetic analysis of ageing: Role of oxidative damage and environmental stresses
TL;DR: The goal here is to seek evidence for common mechanisms among diverse organisms amenable to genetic analysis and oxidative damage is a candidate for such a public mechanism of ageing.
