Bayesian-Based Iterative Method of Image Restoration

TLDR
An iterative method of restoring degraded images was developed by treating images, point spread functions, and degraded images as probability-frequency functions and by applying Bayes’s theorem.
Abstract
An iterative method of restoring degraded images was developed by treating images, point spread functions, and degraded images as probability-frequency functions and by applying Bayes’s theorem. The method functions effectively in the presence of noise and is adaptable to computer operation.

Deconvolution methods for structured illumination microscopy

TL;DR: This work compares two recently developed multiple-frame deconvolution approaches for the reconstruction of structured illumination microscopy (SIM) data: the pattern-illuminated Fourier ptychography algorithm (piFP) and the joint Richardson-Lucy deconVolution (jRL).

Simultaneous multiview capture and fusion improves spatial resolution in wide-field and light-sheet microscopy.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe microscopic and computational techniques that simultaneously capture and subsequently fusing and deconvolving multiple specimen views to improve spatial resolution without introducing additional illumination dose or compromising temporal resolution relative to conventional imaging.

X-ray Microscopy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide a complete introduction to X-ray microscopy, providing all of the technical background required to use, understand, and even develop Xray microscopes.

The Evolution of Markov Chain Monte Carlo Methods

TL;DR: The Evolution of Markov Chain Monte Carlo Methods and its Applications is illustrated in action with real-time simulation of the response of the immune system to Markov chain Monte Carlo attacks.

Hubble Space Telescope Ultraviolet Spectral Energy Distributions for Three Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies

TL;DR: In this paper, the spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of three ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIGs: Lir > 1012 L⊙) selected from the IRAS Revised Bright Galaxy Sample were estimated using the Hubble Space Telescope Faint Object Camera ultraviolet (λ = 2300 A, 1400 A).

Image Evaluation and Restoration

TL;DR: The extent to which the processing approaches the optimum can be evaluated by determining the fraction of the total information content of the image which can be visually extracted after processing.

Restoration of Turbulence-Degraded Images*

TL;DR: In this paper, the amplitude and phase coefficients of the two-dimensional Fourier series representing the degraded images were corrected by applying corrections to the optical transfer function of the turbulence measured at the time the images were photographed.
