Journal ArticleDOI

The complete genomic sequence of a novel cold-adapted bacterium, Planococcus maritimus Y42, isolated from crude oil-contaminated soil.

TL;DR: Although the strain Y42 did not show a remarkably higher ability in degrading crude oil than other oil-degrading bacteria, the existence of strain Y41 played a significant role to reducing the overall environmental impact as an indigenous oil- Degrading bacterium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-contiguous finished genome sequence and description of Gorillibacterium massiliense gen. nov, sp. nov., a new member of the family Paenibacillaceae.

TL;DR: The type strain of Gorillibacterium massiliense, a newly proposed genus within the family Paenibacillaceae, was isolated in France from a stool sample of a wild Gorilla gorilla subsp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation, screening, and optimization of bacterial strains for novel transglutaminase production.

TL;DR: The enzyme was characterized for temperature and pH optima, pH and thermal stability, and effect of metal ions, suggesting its potential use in future applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Physical and genetic characterization of an outer-membrane protein (OmpM1) containing an N-terminal S-layer-like homology domain from the phylogenetically Gram-positive gut anaerobe Mitsuokella multacida.

TL;DR: Thin sectioning and freeze-fracture-etch of the ovine ruminal isolate Mitsuokella multacida strain 46/5(2) revealed a Gram-negative envelope ultra-structure consisting of a peptidoglycan wall overlaid by an outer membrane that is related to the unusual N-terminal SLH-domain-containing beta-barrel-porins previously described in the cyanobacterium Synechococcus PCC6301.

Shanshan Li
TL;DR: In this paper, nitrogen fixation, soil quality and restoration trajectories in agricultural matrices of lowland Canterbury, New Zealand were investigated using the AgriMatrices of agriculture matrices.
