Journal ArticleDOI
Roseovarius marisflavi sp. nov., isolated from an amphioxus breeding zone in the coastal region of the Yellow Sea, China.
TL;DR: A novel Gram stain-negative, catalase- and oxidase-positive, strictly aerobic bacterium, designated strain H50T, was isolated from an amphioxus breeding zone in the coastal region of the Yellow Sea, China and is considered to represent a novel species in the genus Roseovarius.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Proton Pump Inhibitor Pantoprazole on Growth and Morphology of Oral Lactobacillus Strains
Kenneth W. Altman,Vina Chhaya,Neal D. Hammer,Sylvia Pavlova,Benjamin J. Vesper,Lin Tao,James A. Radosevich +6 more
TL;DR: The hypothesis of this study is that the growth rate and morphology of oral Lactobacillus strains are effected by PPI, and acidic microenvironments are integral to oral flora such as LactOBacillus.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative genomics-guided loop-mediated isothermal amplification for characterization of Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseolicola.
TL;DR: To design and evaluate a loop‐mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) protocol by combining comparative genomics and bioinformatics for characterization of Pseudomonas syringae pv.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic diversity and temporal variation of the marine Synechococcus community in the subtropical coastal waters of Hong Kong
Hongmei JingH. Jing,Rui ZhangR. Zhang,Rui ZhangR. Zhang,Stephen B. Pointing,Stephen B. Pointing,Hongbin LiuH. Liu,Hongbin LiuH. Liu,Peiyuan QianP. Qian,Peiyuan QianP. Qian +8 more
TL;DR: Principal component analysis revealed that the in situ abiotic water characteristics, especially salinity and water turbidity, explained much of the variability of the marine Synechococcus population diversity in Hong Kong coastal waters.
Journal ArticleDOI
Editorial: The Responses of Marine Microorganisms, Communities and Ecofunctions to Environmental Gradients.
TL;DR: This paper presents a probabilistic analysis of the response of E. coli to high-resolutionresolution X-ray diffraction analysis of Na6(CO3)(SO4)– Na2SO4, a type of “ghost oil” found in the mantle of the North Atlantic Ocean.
