Assemblies Based on Schiff Base Chemistry

TL;DR: In this article, the development of design strategies and self-assembly pathways of metal-based systems incorporating Schiff base ligands is discussed, and the metal-directed selfassembly of Schiff bases has also experienced considerable attention in offering a route toward fabrication of multinuclear assemblies.

New enamine ligands derived from ethyl 2-ethoxymethylidene-3-oxo-3-polyfluoroalkylpropionates and o -phenylenediamine

TL;DR: The use of equimolar ratios of the starting reactants affords ethyl 2]-(2-aminophenyl)aminomethylidene]-3-oxo-3-polyfluoroalkylpropionates from which nonsymmetric biscondensation products were synthesized by the reaction with related reactants containing different polyfluoro-alkyl substituent The copper(II), nickel(II, and cobalt(II) complexes were obtained on the basis of new ligands.
