New stable aryl-substituted acyclic imino-N-heterocyclic carbene: synthesis, characterisation and coordination to early transition metals

TL;DR: The absence of acidic protons adjacent to the iminic carbon allowed for the first isolation of an imino-N-heterocyclic carbene of this ligand class.

Nanomolar-level selective dual channel sensing of Cu2+ and CN- from an aqueous medium by an opto-electronic chemoreceptor.

TL;DR: In vitro fluorescence imaging in male microspores of seed plants and Monilia Albicans with TyM and Cu2+ confirmed the permeability of the chemoreceptor TyM at the cellular level as well as its ability to investigate transition metals, such as Cu2+, in biological samples.

Synthesis and characterization of rare-earth metal complexes supported by a new pentadentate Schiff base and their application in heteroselective polymerization of rac-lactide

TL;DR: A series of neutral rare-earth metal aryloxides and amides supported by a new pentadentate (N2O3) salen ligand were synthesized, and their catalytic behaviors for the ring-opening polymerization of rac-lactide (rac-LA) were explored as mentioned in this paper.

Two- and Three-Electron Oxidation of Single-Site Vanadium Centers at Surfaces by Ligand Design.

TL;DR: The ability to control metal oxidation states in surface coordination architectures by altering the redox properties of organic ligands is shown, offering new opportunities in controlling the oxidation state of single-site transition metal atoms at a surface for new advances in heterogeneous catalysts.
