Novel 1D chain Fe(III)-salen-like complexes involving anionic heterocyclic N-donor ligands. Synthesis, X-ray structure, magnetic, (57)Fe Mössbauer, and biological activity studies.

TL;DR: The antiferromagnetic ordering as well as a moderate structural dissimilarity in the vicinity of iron atoms has been proved by the (57)Fe Mössbauer low-temperature (7 T) in-field experiments in the case of [Fe(salen)(atz)](n) (2), in which two sextets with the line intensities have been observed.

Imidazolium ionic liquid-tagged palladium complex: an efficient catalyst for the Heck and Suzuki reactions in aqueous media

TL;DR: An air stable, water soluble, and efficient ionic liquid-tagged Schiff base palladium complex was prepared in this article, which was used as a catalyst for the Suzuki and Heck cross-coupling reactions in water.

Hetero-trinuclear near-infrared (NIR) luminescent Zn2Ln complexes from Salen-type Schiff-base ligands

TL;DR: The results of photophysical studies show that the strong and characteristic NIR luminescence with emissive lifetimes in microsecond ranges, has been sensitized from the excited state (1LC and 3LC or only 1LC) of the ligand as discussed by the authors.

Chiral iron complex catalyzed enantioselective oxidation of racemic benzoins.

TL;DR: An efficient, economic and environmentally friendly enantioselective oxidation of racemic benzoins catalyzed by a chiral iron complex has been developed using molecular oxygen as a terminal oxidant with good selectivity and excellent enantiomeric excess.
