Stereo-regulated methyl methacrylate (MMA) polymerization catalyzed by asymmetric Salen-type Schiff-base Cu(II) complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of mononuclear asymmetric Salen-type Schiff-base complexes [Cu(L n )] were obtained by the Cu(II)-templated approach in the presence of five salicylaldehyde derivatives, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterisation of Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes with 5-bromo-N,N′-bis-(salicylidene)-o-tolidine

TL;DR: In this article, an octahedral coordination mode for mono-deprotonated Schiff base and a bidentate one for acetate ion was found for Co(II) and Ni(II), and the final product of decomposition is the most stable metallic oxide.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, structure and reactivity of samarium complexes supported by Schiff-base ligands

TL;DR: In this article, the coordination geometry around samarium atom is described as a distorted pentagonal bipyramidal for complexes 1 and 2 and as distorted tricapped trigonal prism for complex 3.
Journal ArticleDOI

A combined experimental and theoretical investigation on the oxygenation of organic sulfides by oxo(salen)chromium(V) ion

TL;DR: In this article, a two-electron transfer from the oxo(salen)chromium(V) ion to the electron-rich sulfur atom is proposed, which shows an increase in the negative charge and spin density over Cr atom indicating the involvement of spin inversion and radical character.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phenol oxidation by air using a Co (II) Salen complex catalyst supported on nanoporous materials: synthesis, characterization and kinetic analysis

TL;DR: In this article, a cobalt (II) Salen complex was synthesized and immobilized through covalent bonds on synthetic silica and commercial supports, including silica (SiO2), alumina (Al2O3) and granular activated carbon (C).
